It seems people don't know what the words "Personal Preference" mean. As I stated I am not a big fan of the medieval kind of setting regardless of if it's more interesting or unique compared to other games with a similar setting it's not MY cup of tea. I don't like the Oblivion settings nor will I like the Skyrim settings(despite the fact that I still play games like that)
So many games have done a medieval setting over the years it's extreamly h...
The only thing i don't really like about Dark Souls is the setting. There are so many generic medieval games out there and the awesome game play that Dark Souls has would be alot cooler in a much more unique setting.
This is personal preference however. I'm not a big fan of the whole medieval thing and I know alot of folks out there who love it. But still even that is a minor complaint. The game is incredible. That said it certainly isn't for everyone.
Kinda annoys me that EU gets such awesome special editions of games. There have been some incredible ones in the past I would have loved to get here.
I thought the same. The first few news storys of if when it popped up i laughed and thought it was a joke and only now am I starting to realize they are serious. What they hell are they thinking? A big complaint against WoW is it's cartoony nature and this sure as hell isn't gonna help. ARe they trying to kill the game so players will go to their next MMO? I mean I just don't get it. It's a terrible idea.
It annoys me so much that we get so many crappy rhythm games but we can't get the few from Japan that are fun and have solid music in them. I'm kinda shocked they have not released a project Diva game in the US yet considering how it seems they are trying to get Miku to break into the US with being a Toyata mascot and all that.
Death of FFXIV? Wow great way to do some research there guys.
Yeah it's true subscription fees are coming back to the game however it seems the majority of the games community are willing to pay them. Those who aren't are all willing to come back after 2.0 and give the game another shot. I don't know exactly how that equals the death of the game.
One thing people need to understand is that no one is paying fees right now and if those people leav...
This is a really good fit. Out of all the guest characters the series has had I think Ezio fits in with the world the most. He just kinda seems like something that could have been an original SC character and seems right at home.
I'll be picking this up for sure.
The new DMC reboot...not so such.
A scary game I liked quite a bit was Clive Barkers Undying. At the time it had some of the best sound design around and if you were lucky enough to have a 5.1 PC set up it would scare the crap out of you as you would often be exploring some creepy area hearing these horrifying monster sounds in the distance and then out of no where you would be attacked.
Visually the game hasn't aged to well but the sound design is still great. I still load it up every now and again.
If everything they want to do happens in the time frame they have set for themselves I see a bright future for the game.
Basically 2.0 is a from the ground rebuild. All the zones are being redo(to address the copy and paste nature of the current maps), It will be on a new graphics engine. A new main story will come into focus. Entire new systems such as PvP will be added. The UI is being redo from the ground up to help accommodate KB and mouse users.

The simple answer is if you have to ask this question it's probably not the game for you.
Dark Souls has it's audience and those players LOVE it they want the game as hard and if someone finds it to hard From Software would be the first to tell you it's not the game for you. It's not trying to hold you hand and make the game a easy experience. It challenges you to the extreme and with that gives you a immense sense of satisfaction when you are able to do some...
The thing is they ARE NOT remaking FFXIV from scratch. They are making incredibly drastic changes. Core systems that were touted as the main focus of the game when it first came out have been removed or changed to a very large degree. When looking at it from that perspective it's as if they are re making it however they really are only changing the core systems which is far cheaper and easier then remaking every single little thing from the ground up.
The title this artic...
While most of what was said was pretty much stuff that players already knew it was interesting to see by some of his answers that he is thinking far ahead. With this patch the game will finally be in the state it should have been when it launched and anything from here on out is just butter as far as I'm concerned.
Looking forward to the stuff we don't know about yet. Mainly what the focus of the patches beyond 1.21 will be.
It's probably Daytona USA considering the extremely obvious hint in the video they provided.
SE has not forgotten about the PS3 release. The Director Yoshida is basically the one who decides when it comes out at this point and he has said numerous times over the past few months that the PS3 version will not release until the game is in a state he thinks players would feel confident paying for. And even after this massive update they have said nothing about monthly fees returning so it would seem he still thinks the game can be improved before the PS3 launch.
All tha...
So lemme get this straight. The site finds a job listing looking for a PS3 and 360 Programmer that DOES NOT mention a title in relation to this listing and they go right ahead and assume it's for Versus?
Wow no wonder gaming journalism is dying at a rapid rate.
What Tanir brings up is something key to this whole debate. Nomura want's the game on PS3 and PS3 only. He is building the game around the PS3 and taking every advantage of said platform. The thing here is that even if Wada has the final say he would be a absolute idiot to demand a multi plat release from Nomura. Nomura is arguably the only TRUE talent left in SE and they cannot risk pissing him off and having him leave and something like making him gimp his masterpiece he has been workin...
I find it somewhat funny that he states XIV is what hurt the image. I mean he is the one who wanted it released when it did and he fully knew it was not ready. No one on the Dev team(including Tanaka who is now gone...for the better might I add) wanted that game released when it did. It needed at least another year and a half to get to the state it should have been in.
This is further evidenced by the fact that in the year since it's release the new Director Yoshida has b...
That song pissed me off so much. I beat the game and am watching the ending and that crap song starts playing talking abut waking up and getting in the shower and putting on make up and It just pissed me off so much because not only did the song not line up with what was happening on screen but it didn't have ANYTHING to do with the story. Ruins the ending in my opinion as any emotional closure you would have is lost by being pissed at a song that should not be there.
The other thing you need to keep in mind is that Sesslar isn't doing all the reviews. he did not do the Black Ops and Gears of War 3 reviews and if he had they would have likely gotten a much lower score.
He will say what he wants to say because he has been around long enough to not care what people think about what he thinks. However the newer and younger reviewers like those who did the Gears and Black Ops reviews either easily fall for the hype or want to please fans b...
