Personally I think the monthly fee is a good trade off if having it in place allows them to make the game the quality seen in the beta.
I mean it isn't exactly cheap to continue adding such large amounts of content and while they probably could pull it off with a F2P model the quality from doing that might suffer.
But on the other hand I played FFXI for nearly 8 years so perhaps I'm not as opposed as most might be when it comes to fees.
One of the things he says kinda implies they did rip some of the data from the game.
"So, we had to research and we had to dig out from the actual games available, and recreate everything for HD."
As far as KH1 looking better then 2 well I would assume they will do something similar with 2 and try to make them look somewhat consistent across the board. That was something that Nomura said excited him about doing these KH remasters.
I kinda don't expect it to be coming out anytime soon but that said I am hoping they are gonna be much more open with info about it. Kinda like what They are doing with the relaunch of XIV. Tons of new info about the game every month so people know it's coming and that it hasn't fallen of the face of the earth. If they just announce the game like they did and they don't talk about it for years they are morons and just asking for even more people to turn on them.
For me it's quite simple. The games. Right now even though we have not seen a ton the games Sony has showed are what I want to be playing. The only MS game that even remotely interests me is Quantum Break.(and even that I am on the fence because of the whole TV show comes bundled with it thing)
Beyond that I would chose the PS4 as it's the console that will likey get more RPGs(most western RPGs are multi and a good chunk of J-RPG's are exclusive like the Atelier s...
@HammadTheBeast
I rented 2 not long after it came out and quit after like 2 or so hours because it looked to basically be more of the same but with a few different repetitive tasks.
I have had quite a few friends yell at me and tell me I did not give it a chance and I admit I probably should go back and try it but so much other stuff is coming out and my back log is crazy full of games I know I will like. Maybe someday I will go check it out again. I mean it ...
I have to say that being someone who has not bothered with a game in the series since the first one this one does look the most interesting.(Although I guess that is just taste)
That said I don't expect it to be anything overly special and I may not ever play it.(I play 3rd party games on PC and Ubisoft and PC are strange bed fellows)
I picked it up for about 5 bucks and am very happy with it. It's not for everyone for sure but if you don't mind it's crude humor and short length it's fun.
I would be pissed if I paid 60 for it but seeing as it was 5 yeah I am happy with it.
for me I will do what I can to get one for launch but I want stress about it. The game I really want it for right out the game is Infamous Second Son and that won't be coming on launch but a little into Q1 of next year so as long as I can get my hands on one before that point then I'm happy.
If game prices go up much more then what they are now companies will make much less money. As it stands even 60$ is alot of money for some people and there are plenty whole can't even afford to get games at launch and half to wait until they are on sale or cheaper. If prices go up that problem will get worse and sales will likely take a big hit across the board.
I don't have a issue with them putting out another redesign but isn't this timing pretty terrible? I mean they are gonna to be launch a new console by the end of the year and one they put a hefty price tag on to boot. Wouldn't it be smarter not to release another 360. Won't it kinda have a chance of cannibalizing the Xbone?
This is the game that I most want out of what is coming in the next year or so. Infamous 2 is one of my favorite games of all time and this just does everything right.
I have to admit I kinda felt it might not feel like Infamous without Cole but that video clearly showed that will not be a issue. I could tell it would feel right just watching it. Can't wait to play this.
This looked very interesting to me. What they showed looked very fun and if the world is big and open enough and the skills varied enough I can imagine it being a great online game to play.
I would imagine this is a game that will only stay exclusive for so long.
But that said I don't know if I care about it. I wanted a 3rd game in the series and was excited about the little bit that was shown but was kinda annoyed that the tone of the game is so different.
I liked the first games because they had a over the top sense of humor and was so unique. This doesn't have that. It looks and plays like Dead Rising but it doesn't have the hum...
That would make the most sense. More so given that most people I know didn't want the basic and only wanted the Deluxe.
Perhaps they will just kinda rebrand the deluxe as simply a Wii U and have one SKU and leave it up to the consumer to get more storage. I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. Just hoping we see a price cut. There are some games coming to the Wii U later on that I really want but with Next gen starting I am gonna have to be quite choosy with my ...
I'm really annoyed because I hate when they put someone who already has a well known voice(Sutherland) into a iconic character.
Now whenever I play this game and hear him speak I am gonna be pulled out of the experience thinking about 24. That is unless he can somehow make himself sound nothing like what he normally does.
I was gonna say hasn't he not been gone long? It seems much less considering he is constantly talking and you see a article about what he said on like a weekly basis. Not to be blunt but it's kinda hard to care that he is coming back unless he has a game or studio that is interesting and something to care about. Don't really wanna see a Unreal or Gears clone when he comes back.
I liked the game quite a bit but I do know what people mean when they say they don't like it. I mean the only levels that truly feel like Max Payne are the flash back ones.
That said the game was fantastic. It wasen't what I expected going in(I kinda blocked myself off from media for the game so I knew it was gonna be Brazil alot but aside from that I knew nothing) but it was just as awesome as I was hoping just in a different way. I kinda like that R* took a differe...
I kinda think it might go to PS4 and the only real reason I think so is awhile back when showing off the game(I think the last time they showed it in a major way) Nomura stated it was running with parts of the next gen SE engine and pointed to the lighting as a example.
Nomura might have made the call to move the entire game to the new engine now that it is been officially revealed and in doing so had to move it to PS4. A move to PS4 could have also been a reason for a name ...
this makes me so sad. Such a pointless death. I can't even imagine what his family is going through now now but my and I know many others prayers are with them. R.I.P
The game is incredible and if the plans Yoshida has go off without a problem over the next year or 2 some really exciting stuff will be happening.
That said I am kind of worried about the game. For this to be a success alot of people need to play it and thus pay monthly for it and so many people have issues against paying monthly for a MMO these days. I mean even games that tried that model and could have been huge didn't work out(SWTOR fir example) I have no doubt they ...
