No, they need to release and earn some money to be able to continue their development.
GTA VII on the other hand...!
If you want game play, read a book!
Re: Maxing out hardware...
You should also always count ALL hardware available.
* GPU draw, render, ...
* CPU cores scalar
* Cache utilization (inlcuding eSRAM)
* Uncompressing move engines
* GPGPU
* CPU SIMD
* Memory bus transfer capacity
* Memory utilizaton (how much is used, how much was never touched recent frames)
* effective Hard drive transfer rate
* effective Blu-ray drive transfer rate ...
And Dragon Age Inquisition was many game sites GOTY 2014...
At that time very few said anything negative, a lot of the recent negativism is about the optional "fetch quests".
We will see how Witcher III will stand the test of time... lets recheck in October/November. I think the fights looks very repetitive...
I would bet on Frostbite.
- NFS The Run, NFS Rivals, Battlefield Hardline
- Battlefield BC,BC2,3,4
- Plants v. Zombies Garden Warfare
For current generation only as this is (PC, PS4, XBoxOne)
- EA Rory McIlroy PGA Tour
https://www.facebook.com/EA...
- Star Wars Battlefront

"I don't want to play this Battlefield Star wars skin edition"
So, don't buy (borrow, install) it then...
But let me make a prediction. I think you will have it on your console/PC within half a year after the game release.
Changing subject?
"how to do multiplat development"
to
"they could easy better optimize their games if they didn't rush them out"
So, optimizing... Do you now say that CD Projekt Red with Witcher III has a better optimized game than Dragons Age Inquisition?
* Low end PCs?
Minimum PC Specs
OS:
Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit => same
CPU:
Buy Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare if you haven't already
1080p 60Hz on PS4 and really fun to play (IMHO).
Especially EA...
They have a lot to learn from CD Projekt Red I mean Dragon Age Inquisition did only release on five platforms. :S

What if they have? (As they claimed over and over again)
Might show PC game play this time, and not downgraded PS4 target rendering...
Yea, I fully agree!
But is there really any hurry, I mean you can buy it after launch
(You ARE talking about gamers, aren't you? :) )
Star Wars Battlefront will be big no question about it.
But the article is a bit quiet about Morpheus.
Show it live on stage with at least one game (Mirrors Edge sounds perfect) and list other games with support.

On par - why even attempt to do it?
I want the game to exceed the decade old Battlefront in several areas... (even with the cost of some old features being left out)
@OrangePowerz this is EA, they are so evil that they make terrible games that they force on gamers. "You want to buy this game" That is realism!
Seriously! Don't you think EA would be happy to make the best looking, most innovative, funniest to play, most replayabl...
Waiting until it is perfect...
That is the kind of approach that kills game studios. A game (or any non trivial computer program) will never be perfect. Lets delay for a year...
* VR is out (mass market PS4 and PC)
We have to update for VR
VR requires low latency and at least 60 FPS
We have to rewrite our engine...
* 3 years later (minimum), these models look really bad
we better update them and their animations <...
More disagrees than agrees...
So you mean that DICE should have
- copied the game modes
- copied the models
low polygon models made from artist interpretation of film
instead of actual 3D scans
- copied the animation
decade old game mechanics instead of motion capture
- possibly updated the textures
photos of item texture that we try to fit on our models
And you...
EA have no way of winning have they?
If they copied Battlefront 2 straight off using Battlefield 4 graphics, would you be happy then?
RESKINNED!
Do you actually mean "You are only as good as the launch of your last game"? Hasn't BF4 been working quite well for a long time now, and it still one of the games you use to judge new CPUs and GPUs by...
If you do the "math" you will see that you today "receive" a lot more!
If you count number of graphical assets, count megabytes of models, gigabytes of textures, or gigabytes of sound clips.
EA/DICE recommend a 3 GB GPU(!) for Battlefield 4, in addition Frostbite allows you to use a lot more per map - streaming in as you move around.
Battlefront II released on 4 CDs or 1 DVDs that is less than 3 GB... [actually I think the Blu-ray ...
EVERYTHING in computer games are smoke and mirrors... :)
