It's most likely a costume swap, like how you can change Kirby's color.
"Gamers" haven't given up on Nintendo, they simply feel they must play "serious" games to live up to a social expectation.
Their idea of "serious" games:
Must involve violence or strong language
Graphics are more important than actual gameplay
Must not have colorful areas
I assure you that if every person was stuck in a white room and had their memory of video games wiped, most of them would enjoy the ...
I got an Xbox 360 a few years ago, and I can assure you that it hasn't got nearly the same amount of love I give my other consoles.
One of the only things that makes owning an Xbox worth it is the online services, but Nintendo's online is great now, and why should I be forced to pay extra just to play with other people?
I hope Nintendo keeps online free and continues to improve on it.
About the third party support, Nintendo has actually done a lot. The eShop's front page is crowded with great third party games. They share the spotlight with first party games in lots of Nintendo videos as well.
Nintendo has even made the Wii U developing system virtually "copy and pasteable" and developers still ignore it.
The lack of third party support is not entirely Nintendo's fault. They've done a lot to fix the problem.
If only!
I've never owned a Sony console, but Knack actually does look pretty interesting. I've seen trailers and I'm still not quite sure how it all works, but I think it looks neat.
I'm so frustrated! I'm at the last area in Pikmin 3, the Forbidden Forest in Wind Waker HD, not even the second gym in Pokemon X, I haven't even finished the first level in Halo 4, I still need to fill my Animal Crossing: New Leaf town with flowers, and I'm on the fourth mansion in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
There are too many games I need to finish and not enough time! Grr...
Of course, there's Super Mario 3D World, Wii Party U, and...
As you can see, the four main characters have their own stamps. It's their artwork inside a circle. If you look close enough, you can see that there's one that looks like Rosalina in a circle and the Toad Brigade captain in a circle.
Since we know that the Toad Bridage captain will have his own mode, does this mean that Rosalina will also?
This sounds good in theory, but in actuality, you'd be playing against ten-year-olds who know too many spicy words and want to dash to the finish line as fast as possible.
It's funny, because I actually tend to like what people call "gimmicks." This looks pretty neat! I wonder what they'll do with it.
"Gimmicks" are the name people give to innovative new ideas. Sometimes they work out, and sometimes they don't. I wouldn't judge it unless you've tried it out.
Personally, I find multiplayer with people in the same room a better experience. I've spent countless hours playing games with my cousins, and it's one of the highlights of my year.
However, none of my friends are interested in the games I like, so multiplayer is, sadly, sort of a one-time-a-year thing for me. Online multiplayer would be nice, but I understand where he's coming from. It's more fun when there are people playing with you, but it's a lot less...
I'm not sure why I did this, but a few weeks after purchasing Super Mario Galaxy 2, I took it back (for about 15 dollars). I guess I really missed Rosalina's Comet Observatory, and the giant Mario head just didn't give the same feeling.
I wish I had kept it... I would be playing it today!
Wow. This is so much better than the stages used as demos. I'm getting really excited.
When I logged on this morning, all of the reviews I saw were around 8/10. That's when I posted this comment. As the day progressed, I've seen lower and lower scores. I apologize.
What? I've been seeing all positive reviews. Is this a lone opinion?
Hmm, I wonder who the fairies are.
Imagine all three major companies coming together to create the all-powerful mega console.
In a perfect world... *sighs*
If Nintendo wants to improve sales, they need full games that say "buy me on the Wii U!" With companies not making these kinds of games, people won't want them on the Wii U. That will discourage the companies from making even more games, when in reality, the reason people didn't buy the game is because they left out a major part.
It's a cycle. Good for them on Rayman Legends, but this is disappointing.
Encourages pirating from another gaming company to advertise their product.
Really?
I love Nintendo, but shouldn't they have two marketing teams so they can both work on advertisements at the same time...? Just food for thought.
