In my opinion, Nintendo has been the one that's been keeping the market ALIVE.
They seem to care about their consumers, and they introduce children to gaming. One thing I've noticed is that Nintendo is what kids want. Once they're older, they either stick with Nintendo or go with Sony/Microsoft.
Without Nintendo, there'd be no "first step" into gaming, which is something that Sony and Microsoft both depend on. I most likely wouldn...
I would give more credit to Naughty Dog than Playstation... Just saying.
Congrats to TLOU and Naughty Dog!
I don't think a game titled "Indoor Pub Games Sports World" could be successful on ANY platform...
Congrats to TLOU! I don't have a PS3, but when I get one at some point in the future, I'll be sure to play it!
Great job to all games that were nominated!
I see your point, but you're confusing nostalgia with quality.
Yes, (almost) all Mario Kart games were great. However, at least with Nintendo, time=improvement, and that is clearly shown in the Mario Kart series. To say that Mario Kart Wii doesn't compare with the original is simply being stubborn.
I just love it how so many people say a completely opinionated statement and then end it with "fact."
Agreed. However, if they ever did join forces...
*mind explodes*
Out of these titles, I own Pikmin 3, Wind Waker HD, Super Mario 3D World, and Lego City: Undercover.
Pikmin 3 is amazing. It's stunning, and your heart really does die a little every time you lose a Pikmin. When I was down to only 8 blue Pikmin, I found myself keeping them close to the ship and only leaving the "safe zone" to collect pellets.
Wind Waker HD is great. I (don't hate me) haven't really been a huge Zelda fan in the past. I pl...
Sheesh, read the article before complaining.
"Tearaway for the PS Vita is almost 50% OFF.
Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational is dirt cheap for the price of a large drink at Starbucks. Wonderful 101 for Wii U is still about half off!
The PS4 and XBox One have their top titles getting a hefty discount. Check the list below."
I'm not really sure about this list.
Sorry to only mention one thing, but their Wii U description seems a little off.
They mention that "next-gen consoles don't have backwards compatibility." Oh, wait, the Wii U does.
They also mention that "next-gen consoles haven't been released around the world." Oh, wait, the Wii U has.
Then, "everything's a shooter now. If you're not firing gu...
Very well said. +
...What? This is simply a business decision by Microsoft.
No, I don't agree with them. Yes, I think they should focus elsewhere...
But how in the world did this turn into a military argument?
You mean like Halo, that alien soldier guy? Yeah, he's my favorite character. Oh, and the other alien guy, Metroid.
Jokes aside, it's not really Nintendo's fault. People should know that the title is not always the same as the character's name.
"How does 1 good game prove if a console is next gen?"
It doesn't. It simply proves what it is capable of. It IS a next-gen system, whether you want it to be or not.
"Whats the definition of next gen?"
If a machine is a successor to a 7th gen console, then it is in the 8th generation, hence "next-gen."
"To me and most people when you buy a next gen console its because you want newer and better tech under...
Legion, you said "However, what features set it apart from the 360/PS3/Wii generation?"
If that's what separates next-gen from current-gen, then almost every new console would be part of the previous gen. New consoles are simply updated with enhanced features. That's what MAKE them "next-gen," along with the time period they are released.
The Wii U has features that no past consoles have had. The PS4 has features that no past conso...
"Given this guy's past history with Nintendo predictions, I think it's time to buy some more Nintendo stock."
@Snookies
I can agree with you on a lot of that. If my Wii U was broken, I would have to contact Nintendo and who knows what they'd give me in compensation. Nothing? An eShop card?
Also, the 3DS eShop WORKS well, but I personally find it too hard to navigate. Same with Miiverse on 3DS; these things don't seem to work as well as they do on the Wii U.
However, on the Wii U, I see them trying to improve. They're bringing lots of new ...
Opinion.*
Can you explain? I'm actually curious.
I've found that their online multiplayer is actually great, but of course, there are very few people on AC and CoD. That's not necessarily their fault.
The only things I can think of at the moment are party chat, achievements, and more online integration.
Other than that, it's great. I'm really enjoying Miiverse and video chatting with friends.
Chev, look at this:
PS3/4- Amazing year, LOTS of sales and fun games, bright future
Vita- Terrible year, very few sales and a couple of games
Wii U- Mediocre year, low sales and a handful of fun games, bright future
3DS- Amazing year, lots of sales and boatloads of fun games
So, I don't see how you're judging Nintendo based solely on the Wii U and you completely exclude the Vita from Sony's mix. Just saying.
