I knew about the gun from the first play of the demo, but didn't know it took heads off... Luverly!

I got one too!
GARZA went through the 'final' door and got involved in a firefight (I could hear it but not see it) while I was busy blowing up canisters in the warehouse. He then got injured and asked for help, but when I approached the door a Helghan grunt from the next section appeared in my path.

I used to love playing the likes of DOOM and HALF-LIFE with that combination, but with the (deliberately) slow speed of SEV in KILLZONE 2 I'm not sure a mouse would work with this game to be honest.

I use the assault rifle from very far away to blow the bridge - This 'activates' some of the attacking Helghast up on the cat walks a bit earlier and makes them easier to shoot.

I hardly ever go online for multiplayer because, well, I'm crap basically.
But, KZ2 may well be the game that changes that - I'll still be rubbish and nobody will want me on their team, but I reckon I'll have a lot fun of with it.

This was true in the first game too; ISA were American (with one sexily voiced Australian lady!) while the Helghast were all English.

It may be stereotypical, but I think it works in this game: If the Helghan grunts were American I don't think they'd sound as menacing.

I actually got that on the first play through, but the single-shot rifle didn't really work for me in this particular section (Too close quarters)

Are you talking from experience ot just mimicking what you read?

All arguments are done and no more need be said as far as I'm concerned: KILLZONE 2 is a triumph.

I suppose the ISA are 'aliens'. They originated on Earth and now live on Vekta.

Well exactly, you have ONE thing to say.
I have a lot more, such as 8, 9, 9, 9, 10, 10... Plenty more where they came from.

No.
Move along... nothing to see

As do I. 360 owners could play KZ2 (if they wanted to) and I could play GEARS OF WAR.
Pity I'm skint and have to settle for one or the other...:( (PS3 in my case)

I don't see the title as pertaining to any alleged "game vs. game" conflict. I took it to mean a 'victory' over those arguments which suggested the game would not live up to the 'hype', doubted it could deliver on what was promised and, simply, doubted it would be any good.
No sinister or inflamatory fanboy undertones as I read it, just the celebration of a genuinely good game couched in 'war' terminology by the author because it's a 'war' game.

...and this is exactly the sort of fanboy who gives all sensible gamers a bad name that I was talking about in my previou spost.

Bubble up as compensation (and apology) for the fanboys.
I only have a PS3, but hate Sony fanboys as much as MS ones. The latter annoy me, while the former embarass me with their equally banal replies. They DO NOT represent the majority, on either side, despite what various forums (which tend to be tosser magnets anyway)seem to indicate.
Game fans, for either console, are usually bright and sophiticated indivuduals. Shame the tools give us a bad image.

"Lost" what? Some kind of mythical 'contest' that you yourself have conjoured up out of think air?

Please don't ever, EVER let me see you call someone else a 'fanboy' again. Clean your own doorstep first....

Glad to see intelligent critiquing is alive and well - You really should be in the reviewing business.

Nice to see some things in life remain tediuosly predictable... Thanks EDGE!
If you genuinely don't like the game fair enough, but at least offer a few more credible reasons.

It's actually a myth that "everyone is entitled to their opinion". If that were true then every racist, homophobic or sexist comment would be printable and we couldn't say a thing to object.

What is true is that "everyone is entitled to an INFORMED opinion"; an opinion reached after carefully considering CONFIRMED facts & arguments, using logic and reason to form that conclusion - Clearly, KILLZONE2FLOP couldn't have an 'informed opinion' if his life de...
