"JUST SPEAKING FOR MYSELF OF COURSE". I added that bit SPECIFICALLY to avoid the Phantom Diagree Fairy Stalker.
...and I still get a disagree - How odd.
It's brilliant for sure, but I still prefer the first HALF-LIFE.
Well, I'm a PS3-only player, love KILLZONE 2, think the gameplay is amazing & the visuals stunning, but I'd never say it was the best ever FPS. One of the best this gen, I agree, but I'd put HALF LIFE 1 and QUAKE 2 ahead by a wide margin in the 'of all time' category.
Well, I agree (see up there ^^^ somewhere).
HALF LIFE was my first 'cinematic' game, sucking me in and telling an epic story like a really good sci-fi movie. The later XEN levels were a bit of a let down (but only a bit), but what had gone before was so damn good... I'd also take it over HALF LIFE 2 (but I still love the sequal)
Also, on the first playthrough, it was such a HUGE game! It just seemed to keep going and going from one set piece to another. Thank god I h...
HALF LIFE (the first one) on PC. Especially good with OPPOSING FORCES and BLUE SHIFT.
Big honourable mention for QUAKE II... LOVE that game!
I love zombies, especially 1980's Italian horror movie ones!! Yet strangely, I've never been into RESIDENT EVIL games. HOUSE OF THE DEAD though... cool!!!
So advertising makes no difference? Why do MS blitz the various media to tout their wares then? Why do they pay to have big multiplatorm games (TOMB RAIDER UNDERWORLD and PRNCE OF PERSIA are just two examples) trailers end with just a "XBOX 360" tag?
Of course it makes a difference...
Just speaking for myself of course, but dowloadable or on-demand movies will never replace owning the physical disc. I'm a 'collector' with well over 1500 DVD and Blu-Ray discs, so will always prefer something tangible on the shelf over a download.
I was late to the DEAD SPACE party and have only just finished it (love the 'Military Suit'!) and found it an excellent, atmospheric experience.
But as with UNCHARTED 2, I have to wonder how multiplayer would work. How do you get that level of atmosphere in a free for all? Would the shadows have to go? The lighting and the subtle music?
Take them away and a lot of what made the game so good (and uniquely 'Dead Space') is taken away.
Even co-op... It ...
Just guessing of course, but to make the game an 'Uncharted experience' , they'll have to poach unique characters from the first game otherwise it'll be a load of mercenaries and pirates (and whatever villains are in the second game) against Nate.
But, ND are so talented they may have something totally unique and special in line for us, so there's no way I'm writing this off, just musing out loud!
I was getting INFAMOUS anyway, but MP in UNCHARTED... Hmmmmmm.
A deathmatch will have Nate killing Sully (and vice versa), while team death match could see Nate on the same side as mercenaries taking pot shots at Elena (if she's a playable character of course).
IT JUST AIN'T RIGHT I TELLS YA!!!
I'm sure it'll play like a dream (like the SP campaign), but the context will be all... wrong. Then again, I'll wait until I hear more info. Either way, i...
Got the 7" SHEVA and was pretty disappointed. These look excellent though (as expected from Hot Toys) but as I'm collecting the 12" GI JOE figures from Sideshow, I don't think I'll be able to afford them.
"Unoficially confirmed"..?
That's a nice 'safety net' for the author. If it's correct then he goes 'told you so', but if it's just more baseless speculation he says 'well I DID say "unofficially"'
I must confess to being a 'booty' rather than 'booby' sort of chap. That's why me and Lara Croft never clicked, I suppose!! ;)
I'd be grateful if you withdrew the "Every single one of you criticizes the cost of DLC on the 360" comment. No such 'criticism' has ever passed my 'lips' (fingers)
Then you're missing out on something truly special, in my opinion.
I don't think it'll be as fun as the PS2 TF ARMADA game. Still play that on my PS3.
Oh given the choice, I'll go for Blu-Ray all the time (Just watching IRON MAN this very afternoon in fact, and it's a perfect format for such a visual film). But as I tend to watch 'older' films (I'm a big fan of Hammer Horror movies for example), I have to rely on DVD as the likes of those won't make it to BD for a while (if at all).
If you held back then you're very wise.
Me, not so much :(
Of course not.
