"reviews games truthfully and honestly". Well, that all depends on just where the reviewer is coming from doesn't it?

I'm surprised that anyone is even bothering to post about this nonesense.

I just don't see how anyone can consider KZ2 a 'bad' game at this point: It may not be to someone's taste, or a person can be indifferent towards it maybe, but there's no way it qualifies for the vitriol this 'review' shovels at us.

I do fear to tread in the Open Zone for a while though. I'm sure this tripe will be used as 'proof' of something by somebody...

Annnnnd your point? From the same article:

"But the point he's trying to make is something that we find backed up in a lot of our research and focus groups: that people who are playing the Wii bring it out when friends come over and then put it back away — that the console that stays connected to the TV is a different system."

Not quite the same thing MS are saying is it?

Well, I can't stand TOP GEAR anyway because Jeremy Clarkson is a useless, arrogant and narcissistic git, but hey, sales for GT5:P may now go up a bit!!

Wish all Sony games had commercials that were this good.

Now THAT'S a good advert!

Well, as I said, if you've had each console for long enough you should be aware of the relative strengths and weaknesses of each.

As far as I see it, all these articles do is point out 'differences' between titles, not which is 'best'.
If the way the 360 handles multiplatforms is your standard, stick with it, and the same goes for the PS3.

Again with these damn comparisons. I keep saying it: If you only own ONE console then it DOESN'T MATTER which is 'best' (For "best" read: Which differences matter to you the most!) as you're only able to buy one version anyway.

If you own BOTH consoles then odds are good that you made your mind up which performs to your preferred standards long ago. I don't think anyone needs articles like this to hold their hand and tell them which version to buy. All they end u...

So you think unsubstantiated opinions presented as fact in commercials is a good thing then? You're an advertiser's dream!!!

Well done for missing the whole point of the article.

MS puffs up own product and does down a rival in an advert. I'm shocked!!

IF anyone chooses to believe that statement without question, argument or investigating further they deserve the 'superior product' they'll end up with.

Unless MW2 'innovates' the FPS genre (which all new games MUST do to be worthy, apparently) then no, I can't see it being such a significant leap over MW1 to be considered GOTY.
After all, it's "just another FPS" isn't it?

Now we have nudity on this site?? Tsk. There are kids visiting this place you know!

Ah yes, I was 'gently cajoled' into getting VALKYRIA CHRONICLES by so much positive word of mouth and am so glad I did. I'm not even a fan of the genre to be frank, but the visual style just sucked me in. And, even though I usually get intimidated by all those 'hit points' and 'skills' on games like this, it's a breeze to get into.

Not too excited about the prospect of PS1 games on the store to be honest. Every time I do sample a 'classic' that I played years ago, I usually end up disappointed. Some PS2 games are worth a re-visit, but I already have the ones I want to use on my BC PS3.

Still, I think it's a good move for the folk who love retro gaming - I CAN see the appeal, but it just isn't for me.

Trophies are fun.
If they weren't there, I wouldn't miss 'em. As they are though, I'll use them to extend the longevity of a game.
Some are worthless, such as getting a trophy for completing one level, but others offer a great feeling of (slightly smug) self-satisfaction. When I finally nailed the Platinum for UNCHARTED, it felt a lot more gratifying than just an allocation of points.

I would like them to be displayed a bit better though...

Cheapest I can find the English-language version on Ebay (with a BIN price) is £53. Bit too steep for me right now.:(

Hmmm.. For sarcasm to work it really has to be said aloud. I just can't tell the difference in written form these days.

I chose a PS3 because that's the system I wanted. So far, it's done nothing to prove I made a bad choice.

I didn't buy FALLOUT 3, but to ANY company that says: "Okay, we've made our pile of cash from MS. NOW, a year later, we'll take you Sony consumers' loot" get's the bird from me - On BOTH hands!
