It may be a harsh score, but the review is pretty much spot on otherwise. On its own merits, it's still a game that deserves 7.5-8.5.

You are sorriest bunch of Sony fanboys I have ever seen.

(and I own a PS3)

Return it chainer3000.

You are legally entitled to do so if the product is defective. If you assert it is, I doubt the place you bought it from will contest it.

@irepbtown

I'm talking about the single player gameplay.

Oh and by the way, I'm totally going to presume anyone who silently disagrees is in denial.

It's a prettier version of every other linear military styled FPS you've ever played. Goes something like this:

- Listen to nonsensical objectives full of over the top military bravado.

- Follow the corridor.

- Shoot some people along the way.

- Press action on this thing here.

- Shoot some more.

- Man that auto gun over there.

- Quick time event!

I think the point is that while Blizzard actively encourages third party developers to add value to their game, Sony actively restricts their console and restricts user generated content. Had they had an open model perhaps they could have recruited someone talented like this and been better for it.

@tdogchristy90

Building a PC from scratch is always far cheaper and I would highly recommend it. It's also not particularly difficult if you do some research beforehand and read the manual while assembling.

As far as the build recommended, you could do way better. The choice for graphics card is particularly odd, it's a last generation model. You'd be better off with the GTX 460 or ideally to push for the 560 Ti. For CPUs also, once Intel fixes it...

This honestly doesn't look bad, but FPSs on consoles just look so slow.

It's like a PC FPS, but turn based.

5513d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

You're confusing piracy with popularity.

5514d ago 8 agree3 disagreeView comment

It's simple.

A fool and his money are easily parted.

No one is making anyone pay anything, they're going to what is essentially a pawn shop and getting ripped off because THEY didn't do their research.

Be honest.

@Mr Tretton

No, you fail at comprehension.

He games on PC where you can ban anyone from your server who is seen cheating, instantly, whenever you want without waiting for the grand overseer to do it for you.

Oh and nobody can invalidate your hard drive.

It's no doubt partly being caused by the costs of developing modern games far exceeding older ones, but even then it's hard not to feel butthurt when:

1 - Developers/distributors are selling you additional hours of gameplay you would have otherwise gotten free previously as DLC.

2 - Instead of making a longer game, they hit a nice arbitrary number, ship it, and then release a game 6-12 months later with the same engine, graphics and virtually the same...

@Godmars290

How does GTA4, RDR or COD require devotion?

GTA 4 and RDR are immensely similar. You can do cowboy-ey things in RDR but the core game is the same. Go to a place, get an objective which involves killing people, come back, rinse-repeat. There is no clever gameplay to learn, no dare I say, skill. It's duck and cover gameplay like every other 3rd person shooter. Anyone who has played games in the last 5 years oughta know the basics and be able to ...

Really, it depends on what you mean exactly.

There is no variety in the majority of games nowadays. Big title games can't afford to be innovative, have creative and original gameplay because of the huge budgets riding on them and the push from publishers to make them a guaranteed sell. Yes there are exception like Shadow of the Colossus and the like, but let's face it, the industry is dominated by first/3rd person shooters which are all VERY similar. Duck and cover ga...
