This is a glimpse of the future, whether we like it or not. The days are coming to an end where software is stamped into media and packaged for sale to consumers. I don't know if OnLive will be the service that does it, but it shows that the technology to take gaming from the desktop or console and into the cloud is getting there.

If you actually read the fine print in software licenses, you don't actually own games. You own the right to play the games. So it doesn...

Checks my calendar...

Well, ok then!

This is why we can't have nice things.

Seriously, nobody is talking about PlayStation but you.

I picked up the other two for PS3. So that's what I'll get this one for, since that's what I'm used to.

I really hope that everyone who buys it really enjoys the game.

Ok, that one is funny.

That's cool! I don't know if I'll get it because I have the Xbox version that's B/C on the 360. So I don't know if it's worth a repurchase. But it very well could be.

I think that the time has come for me to upgrade my PS3's 60GB HDD. I'm to the point where I'm ready to install once and forget it, and 500 GB is pretty cheap these days.

For a game like this I think the price in HDD space is worth it.

The game will move consoles, no doubt. But I do have a question:

How many of the people posting here have waited exclusively for this game to buy a PS3?

It's a serious question. I've never bought a console for a single game before. I just don't understand the thinking, but I really want to. I wish someone could explain it to me.

It would have been better to just let it go instead of trying to defend Halo in a GT5 thread. The games are so different that the comparison in the first post was completely asinine.

Best to not feed the trolls. It only encourages them.

If you argue with an idiot, sooner or later nobody can tell the difference.

Many NES platformers were not for the faint of heart. Kids today would cry at that level of difficulty, as developers seldom put in an easy mode. And if they did, it was still tough.

The Wavebird was the best wireless controller available at the time. I still have one and I hope it never breaks.

I liked the Xbox controller S, too. If there was an award for worst controller design ever it would have to be the original Xbox controller. That thing was huge and clunky. The controller S was much more elegant, and it was clearly the starting point for the current 360 controller. I like the 360 controller, but it's a bit heavy because of the battery pack. <...

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if they banned hackers. Considering what they've cost me in terms of functionality I think it's only fair.

I wish they would stop toying with my emotions. Lan Di is going to get away with it.

The next Move? There's still lots to be done with the current one.

Depends on the kinds of games you want to play. I have some awesome games on my iPod that are very well done. Good for passing the time.

This game is going to own! I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Around here that's like telling water to not be wet. Just like people don't have to read the article to express their opinion, they don't have to play a game to "know" that it sucks.

It just annoys many people here that Kinect may be a commercial success. So you get FUD like you see posted here.

Well, in Myamoto's defense, the version of Super Mario Bros. 2 that those of us outside of Japan remember wasn't created as a Mario Bros. game. It was Doki Doki Panic, which Nintendo rebranded into Super Mario Bros. 2 to ride the wave of popularity of Super Mario Bros. Doki Doki Panic was re-worked by Kensuke Tanabe and the characters were just new sprites to replace what was already in the game.

The predictable defense of GT5 comes forward. Call GT5 a racer and you get the prim and proper "it's a REAL driving simulator" line. Say there's an awesome racer out there and people start talking about how GT5 is a better racer in every way.

My question is whether this game can hold its own without the silly hurt feelings getting in the way? Can it? There's a lot to be said for a fun arcade experience.
