We care because if Motorola manages to kill the 360 there won't be any news of new 360 games. The news will be of 360 projects being canceled.
Except that it doesn't. It looks different, not better. At least based on what I've seen.
Hmmm...same two sentences in this article.
** Not confirmed for 2011, but hopeful.
*** Downloadable title not confirmed for 2011, but hopeful.
Why even include them in the list if they aren't confirmed for 2011?
There are two sentences in this article that are very important to its context:
** Not confirmed for 2011, but hopeful.
*** Downloadable title not confirmed for 2011, but hopeful.
You know, HungryGoku, I don't recall anyone saying anything like that and I've been reading these silly comparison threads. Everyone can play the first Mass Effect. Just buy it for PC. It's really super cheap now.
On topic, the only difference between the demos that I can see is that the lighting is different. It isn't better in one or the other, it's just different.
ME2 is shaping up to be a great game all around, no matter which platform...
What's so funny is that people are actually arguing over this.
When you look through a microscope at Japan then yeah, it does seem like a pointless endeavor. But when you look worldwide things become more clear.
Over 1.5 million copies on Xbox 360 worldwide was not a pointless endeavor. The 360 version moved more copies than either Alan Wake or Demon's Souls did and those games were exclusives.
With the success of the 360 version of the game I wouldn't be surprised if you do ultimately see an announcement for Ver...
They didn't compare the demo to the full game. They compared the PS3 demo to the 360 demo.
Look at all of the people who didn't read the article, especially concerning Gran Turismo 5.
It's knocking GT5's online multiplayer, which I have to agree was a bit lacking until the patches started coming. But they're not saying the whole game is bad.
Polyphony Digital deserves some of the dings they get. They kept saying that they wouldn't release the game because they wanted it to be perfect. That was the hype that we were being fed. ...
So to me pretty much the only differences seem to be in the area of lighting and the resulting shadows. The other differences appear to be even more minor than that.
So far it looks to be a great value for PS3 owners who want to give the game a shot.
Yes, first MK that I have been excited for in a long time.
If they're all coming on one disc then I'll get that.
Sounds like business as usual. Worst case Microsoft pays money. That's like trying to put out a fire with a match.
By that standard the NES could run Uncharted 3.
Flawless you say? You're lucky, then. My 60 GB PS3 just reached Laredo, TX today to be refurbished because it got YLOD this week.
Don't believe me? Here's the tracking info:

Good in concept, but it appears that execution is lacking.
I can't vouch for the accuracy of the statement. But it is pretty funny.
You know, the Wii isn't selling at the levels it once was. But it is still selling. It's not like we see big fat zeros in the sales totals every month. So the calls for a Wii successor are a bit silly, in my opinion. If we applied the standard equally people would have been calling for new Xbox and PS3 consoles years ago.
People keep looking at this thing as a war where everyone has to hit the battlefield at the same time and beat it out until everyone else is vanquis...
Very punny headline.
This comes as no surprise to me. Microsoft's 2010 was all about Kinect, too. That's where all of Microsoft's development and marketing dollars went.
While it will no doubt make money for Microsoft, some 360 owners will be disenfranchised and will have to look elsewhere.
