Wow, the list in this article includes games that we really haven't seen much gameplay for. Any game looks great in press shots, but to put them in a list like this based on PR images is nuts.
That's an interesting perspective. In reality most peripherals fail. They fail because there is rarely support for them past the first couple of games.
Both the 360 Live Vision camera and PSEye were relegated to obscurity from the start. Sony revived PSEye with Move. Microsoft has likely completely given up on the Live Vision camera.
As far as doomed, that depends on the software support. We can all see that Microsoft's focus is on Kinect in 2011 by t...
When I ultimately buy it I will get it for the PS3. But due to my more recent Mortal Kombat experiences I doubt if this will be a day 1 buy. So I want a demo or a rental to make sure that it is worth it.
I do not understand how someone with any sort of intelligence or ability to process information at all could have disagreed with this. Is he supposed to buy the PS3 version and just not play it?
Articles like this prove that middle school can last forever, thanks to the power of the internet.
I see that people are still having the wrong arguments. The PS3 is compromised, so there's no reason arguing over whether it is good or bad.
If you want to talk about something talk about what you plan to do. Is there a compelling reason to go back to firmware 3.41 other than to use the Jailbreak dongle and maybe be able to rip and play some of the available games? I can't see one, and it wouldn't be worth the risk to my PS3 to try it.
This all seems vaguely familiar to me. I wonder how long it is before the Trophies counterpoint is approved?
Just like using your PIN number at the ATM machine, right?
Like nails on a chalkboard for me.
That's ok with me. I'm used to the installs now.
Really, it's the impeccable spelling and grammar that does it for me.
You and me both, Bathyj. You and me both.
The fallacy that many fall into is that pirates always download games. It may not matter how big games are because there are other ways to get them besides download.
If someone manages to create good utilities to rip PS3 games to and load PS3 games from an external HDD then they can rent or borrow games to get cheaper or free copies.
It's not always about free. Cheaper is enough sometimes. And being able to get a terabyte of external HDD storage for the c...
Right. The DMCA doesn't apply outside of the US, so Sony is going to have a much harder time going after groups like fail0verflow.
Even if they shut Geohot down Pandora's box has been opened. Sony can't litigate this into obscurity.
I think that Ju makes a really good point.
For a lot of these guys the real interest is in the Cell/RSX architecture and being able to write code that will run on it. Piracy is always the worst and most unfortunate side effect. With OtherOS it was possible to at least explore the Cell, and for a while the scene was satisfied with being able to run their homebrew apps on the hardware in Linux, at least in a very basic fashion.
In hindsight, if Sony were to p...
It's an easy bandwagon to jump on. Good ego booster because if you hate on vgchartz people agree with you.
Nobody ever believes vgchartz for a reason, though. When official numbers come out they never match and vgchartz has to correct themselves.
I'm not sure you're thought your clever plan all the way through.
I don't know why anyone would believe that any of these companies report sold to consumer numbers. It's always better to assume that the numbers mean shipped, because there's no way for them to aggregate every time a product passes through the checkout.
While the comment "Only ignorant people can deny that." was clearly meant in a pejorative fashion, one definition of the term ignorant does mean lacking in knowledge. So really, to be unaware of something does mean to be ignorant of it.
Not that I'm calling you ignorant, mind you. Just clarifying. Terms like "jackass" and "dumbass" really are pejorative, and there is no chance of mistaking their meaning.
I think that all of ...
I'd love to play DC Universe Online, but I don't have time to get caught up in an MMO right now. So it'll probably be only LBP2 for me this month.
From the videos I've seen so far the game is going to be a blast to play.
