Why should you have to have a hard drive to enjoy a console game? I like having a hard drive for game saves and to store demos and media. I do not like having to install games to a hard drive to be able to play them. The 360 has been out for nearly 2 years now and up to this point it was never necessary to have a hard drive to be able to play games. If Rockstar can't develop the game without the need for a hard drive, but so many other developers can, then what does that say about Rockstar? ...

I think that using a controller to enter URL's sucks big-time. I even hate it on my PSP browser.
So far I'm not a fan of the console browsers. Either you are zoomed in or you aren't. They're kind of hard to read, too. But that's just my opinion.
Has anyone used a bluetooth keyboard for their PS3 yet? If so, what's a good one?
That's what I'm saying. This isn't the first time something like this has happened.
I would like for my 360 to have an HDMI output, too. I understand the benefit. But when the 360 was released there was no need for it. There really wasn't. The top of the line HDTV's did 720p and 1080i over component and there was no talk of 1080p and TrueHD. There were no HD movies to watch. I'll admit that they weren't very forward thinking about it.
What people need to realize is that console specs change over time. Even the PS1 had hardware revisions that changed the video ...
I really don't care. I never said that it serves people right for buying it before now. I've had mine since May of '06 and I'm not ticked about it. The 360 runs just fine with component cables at 720p and 1080i.
You guys want to rant and bash on Microsoft for adding new features to the hardware. Did you rant on with all of the hardware configuration changes Sony has made to their consoles? Like adding progressive scan to the PS2 when launch systems didn't have it? Or like the ...
I bought my daughter a laptop that was supposed to be Vista capable. I started it up and it took nearly 3 minutes to open Notepad. I wiped the drive and installed XP on it and it runs like a champ now.
11 gig install of Vista before I wiped it. 11 gigs for the OS? You've got to be kidding me!
From my own personal experience Vista is a dog of an operating system. Maybe the first service pack will help it out.
I'm sure going to sleep better at night knowing that it will be easier to unplug the power cable from new 360's. I actually like that the power cord locks into my console. Since the thing is so touchy about power interruptions I feel it better to be safe than sorry.
Why is this Microsoft's fault? You knew exactly what you were getting when you bought a 360, and if you didn't that's your own fault. I don't see why you would be upset about it now. You weren't lied to and you weren't forced to buy it.
Want one with HDMI? Sell or trade in your current 360 and put the money toward one with HDMI.
Just sounds like a stupid kid to me.
Maybe he's still upset about what happened to the Dreamcast...
They would have to make it concave to lay flat. But that's ok.
Heh...that's called a monitor. I don't think it's a bad idea, though.
I like the Wii. I think that it has a lot of potential if developers can learn to think abstractly and design games that can take advantage of the machine's abilities. That, I think, is the main problem for the machine. Developers are trying to make the Wii do what consoles have typically done in the past and the box just is not designed for it.
It's funny how many pimply-faced teenagers like to banter on about how the Wii is just a kiddy console with nothing to offer their &qu...
This is what I dislike the most about this hobby. With PC's your system gets outdated so quickly that you are constantly pumping money into it to keep it top of the line. Although this seems like it will have relatively minor impact right now, it won't be long before games are released that require the 10.1 spec and people will have to upgrade or have to play games in a gimped fashion.
Console gamers are relatively shielded from this kind of thing because their systems are clos...
Who out there can actually say that their stuff is never going to break? I mean, really?
Something tells me that decision was made for him. It appears that the 360 is going through a major PR overhaul, and as part of that the face of the system had to change. New games, new hardware configuration, new public face.
Makes an awesome night light?
Actually, the way you spin it is by giving customers the assurance that the problem will be taken care of if something happens to it. That's enough for most people.
This is the kind of thing that annoys me. What makes Guitar Hero fun is that even people who can't play the guitar, and don't care to learn how to play the guitar, are able to enjoy the feeling of hitting the hot licks in their own living room. So what if it isn't authentic? It's just plain fun.
But that was like a lame blog post talking about a lame blog post. Everyone knows the 360 has a lot of shooters. Some are good, some suck.
Me, too. I find it funny that people are still able to talk about an article that no longer exists.
