Actually, the PS3 is the first Sony console that's built great. Both the PS1 and PS2 had lousy media drives when they were launched. I had to turn my PS1 upside down to play games until the thing just stopped working. Forget games with FMV. The PS2 had so many drive problems that Sony was sued over them.
The PS3 certainly feels solid. Too bad it took 3 generations of consoles to get it there.
This one was specifically to address the Wii browser locking up.

AI and difficulty are two different things. I don't think that Ninja Gaiden's AI gets better at higher difficulty levels. I think that they just make the game harder.
That said, the AI in Ninja Gaiden is very well done.
If you have to think about the AI then there are probably issues with it. If you don't have to think about it then it must be doing its job.
Well articulated point. I think the differences in this generation are far, far less dramatic when compared to 16-bit generation. I mean, simple things like color palettes and number of sprites on-screen were huge differentiators. It was easy to tell that Street Fighter II on SNES was superior to Street Fighter II on the Genesis. This time around the same games on multiple consoles look and play pretty much identically.

I don't know why people think that a company is either aligned with Sony or they are aligned with Microsoft. Fanboys are a funny breed.
That thing is only necessary if you want to watch movies. It makes zero difference if you are playing games. While we're on the subject, why include a wireless headset? I have one that plugs into my wireless controller and it works just fine.
I don't get these comparisons at all. Buy what you like and enjoy it. Isn't that all that matters?

I agree with what you are saying. That seems like quite the rediculous number to poll to extrapolate those kinds of figures.
Who cares what the reviewers think. I haven't seen anything with Lair that is fundamentally flawed, yet. While the game doesn't appear to be my cup of tea, I bet it is still going to be a really good game.
If you're in doubt, rent first.

Comparing an XBLA game to a full-retail game is somewhat silly. I would prefer to not download games that are several gigs in size. The reason I like XBLA is that I can get a fun game on the fly for about 5 bucks and it doesn't take hours to download like some demos do. I can drive to Gamestop and buy a game faster than the Stranglehold demo downloaded.
I rented Resistance and it failed to convert me. I'm just not very good at FPS games. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance, though. I should try it again.
I can't wait to pick up the Spidey movies on Blu-ray!
