Not yet, but I just scored one on eBay for 7 bucks. Looking forward to it!
I still have my Lynx and Jaguar. Tempest 2000 and Defender 2000 were reason enough for me to own the Jaguar. My Jag is suffering from a case of the red screen of death / cartridge connection error. I need to figure out how to fix that.
Blue Lightning, California Games and Klax were my favorite Lynx games.
I have two Lynx systems and about 20 games for them. I have the original model and the newer re-designed model. I spent so much time playing the half-pipe in California Games.
I wish I still had my Blue Lightning cart. That was an awesome game, too. And Klax. Oh my gosh, my Klax addiction knew no end. The Lynx port was really good.
So Sony will be able to scan your game saves to learn more about you and target advertising on the Playstation Store to your specific tastes. And also send you email and the occasional postcard about great new things that you might be interested in.
And all it costs them is a few megabytes of hard drive space. Actually, if this is limited to PSN+ customers it doesn't cost them anything since you're paying them for the convenience of storing your saves for you.
...
Having everything on one disc is convenient. But is that convenience worth the different in price?
I've already owned the game on 360 for a year, so there's no need for me to buy a new version. But when the PS3 version drops to $40 it's definitely going to be the version to buy, if you're still interested by then.
More like "users of modified save files and custom firmware that managed to get their consoles banned" may affect second hand console sales.
I don't know why the name Xbox 720 irritates me so much. Where did 720 even come from?
I saw last night where one GitHub was taken down and the stuff was back up on another within a couple of hours. Sony is going to be spending so much time chasing this down.
This is getting silly. Still, what I've seen looks good.
Value is a relative thing. People will pay for it if they find it valuable. My account is a free account.
It's funny that so many people are getting bent out of shape over this. It was submitted as an article, but it's really an opinion piece. Also, it's from a website named xboxhome. Did you really expect anything different?
Let's wait for an official price announcement and see if these guys are right.
Good. Boot the cheaters.
lol...this guy needs more honest friends.
A funny one from the forums:
IssY_I : "When i want to play black ops it says my console is banned permanently???
i have payed 150$ for the Ps3 (i bought it yesterday (used) and just came home with a new copy of b-ops! but why is my system banned?"
Infinite-Arch: "Maybe because you hacked........"
bwahahahahaha!
The same thing we do with all of our other old games when the systems we play them on no longer work. Buy a used replacement system, sell the games, or whine incessantly about the new platform not having backward compatibility.
What it means to me is that I'll potentially have a new portable PlayStation that actually has games that I want to play.
I won my PSP at a Microsoft event about 5 years ago (oh, the irony) and in all of that time I only found about a dozen of so games that I really wanted to play, many of them being retro collections.
I'm excited about the potential for some of the current PS3 franchises receiving legitimate installments on this new system. Awesome...
Not exactly my cup of tea, but I would go with the PS3 version because of the single disc option. With everything else being pretty much equal, all that's left is convenience. Yep, I'm getting old and lazy.
I'll take one, please. That's already a better lineup than the original PSP had in its entire lifetime.
Well, as we've seen play out time and again, better hardware doesn't always mean more success.
I really hope that Sony has the games and features to back this up. If they start moving their PS3 lineup over that's going to be a great start.
I would want Ridge Racer. I love Ridge Racer. No, seriously. I love Ridge Racer. Was playing RR7 earlier tonight. Beautiful game visually and a lot of fun to play if you like arcade racers.
