Nice!
So their source is 4chan? Seriously?
If it doesn't make much of a difference to Sony then why doesn't Sony sue use game retailers?
I think the point is that if Sony were to start tying discs to consoles or PSN accounts more people would support anti-DRM hacks on consoles just like they support anti-DRM hacks on PC.
Honestly, the only way this works and is enforceable is if people had to log on to PSN so that Sony could keep a database of which discs have been used by which accounts. Sinc...
I've never understood the whole figurine collection thing. But I have to say that some of these look pretty cool.
If you align worldwide sales of Wii to PS2 from their respective launches the Wii is holding its own. It could live a long time as a budget console, but Nintendo isn't likely to support multiple hardware platforms like Sony has.
As long as these guys can keep producing top quality with every iteration I'm ok with it. If they start churning out sup-par trash to take advantage of the name then they're no better than Activision.
Interesting enough opinion. I think that when you stack features against the competition the base model PS3 is a good buy for $299. But many people don't look at value for the money, they look only at out-of-pocket expense.
People who aren't as well-informed as the folks here might go see $179 for a Wii or $199 for a 4GB Xbox 360 and think they're getting a better deal because the price is lower.
I love my PS3 and it was totally worth what I paid...
And somewhere along the way repaired a console or two.
Actually there was lots of talk about the death of Guitar Hero and the decline of the music genre before the decision was made to halt development of Guitar Hero and DJ Hero. The writing was on the wall when Warriors of Rock and Rock Band 3 failed to deliver.
Don't forget that Viacom sold off Harmonix after poor sales of Rock Band 3. The wheels were already in motion. People talking about it now are just trying to seem intelligent now that the predictions have come true. ...
It looks like it shoots bubbles with that big ball on the front. But if it helps increase shooting accuracy then why not?
Ah, the good old "mature audience" angle again. It appears that we have the age-old fallacy that mature gamers don't want what Nintendo has to offer.
One thing Nintendo has always been really good at is striking a balance with the people who think that gaming doesn't have to be all about blood, gore, murder and all-around senseless violence to be fun. They've proven that graphics are not the most important aspect of a game and that pure, simple fun still...
That was kind of a fun read.
Wii showed both of them up. Sad, really.
It makes sense for Microsoft to partner with someone that actually knows how to make and market this type of device.
Hopefully taking over a rival publisher doesn't mean Activision gets its hands on all of the IP's.
Activision touching any franchise seems to be its death knell these days. They've taken some really great IP's and have completely run them in ground with their smash and grab business model that milks great ideas dry and tosses them aside.
For a long time I didn't want to believe it, but with Activision shuttering so many studios this week I...
Activision saturated the market within the last couple of years. Guitar Hero III, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Green Day, World Tour, Warriors of Rock...there was just too much out there and not enough to really differentiate the games from one another.
Instead of focusing on big game licenses they should have focused on gameplay innovation.
There are two things I disliked about the first. The first was the police warning levels. The second was that it wasn't really worth playing once I decided to stop paying for Xbox Live.
I'd like to give it another shot.
Angry Birds in glorious 1080p@60FPS coming to you from Apple TV!
Cool pictures. Too bad the translated videogameszone.de articles are such low quality.
Lots of cancellations being announced lately.
