We? Calm down, sparky. This is just video games. It isn't personal.
It actually looks kind of fun, although the premise is rather silly.
I find it hard to believe that Microsoft would allow direct downloads of games from a service other than Live. Including RakNet is probably just intended to help improve networking capability.
I wish I could find my MK Trilogy disc for the PlayStation. I tucked it away years ago and haven't seen it since.
I nominate this for most ironic post of the day.
Cool. Nice to see such a strong market. Worldwide recession and millions of these things find their way to peoples' homes.
Interesting slide deck:

Haha, that's funny!
This article isn't even about what the title implies.
How funny is that? What's also interesting how the only thing so many people think about is graphics. Game X looks better than game Y, so game X is better. Right guys? Game X must be more awesome because it looks better! Oh, and game X uses more GB's, too! More GB's equals better graphics. And more GB's equals more fun, which makes the game better. Right guys?

Haha, either someone didn't read the article or...nah, that's it. Someone didn't read the article.
Saints Row 2 is a lot of fun if you liked the first. Some people just take themselves too seriously around here.
People don't need to read the article to carry on about hating Gamestop. They just do it.
I buy nearly all of my games at GameStop, too. And, like you, I use them to my advantage. I don't trade games there because I know that they aren't going to give me what they're worth. So if I do decide to sell a game it is usually on eBay or Half.com.
When I do buy used games I normally do it when they have buy 2 get 1 free deals, and I get games that I wouldn't buy under normal circumstances. The best games I always buy new. The average games I buy for a pr...
And there you have it. Gamestop isn't forcing anyone to sell their old games them, so I don't see why people complain about getting screwed. If you don't like what they're offering, don't sell to them.
There's no trickery involved. You go in, they tell you what they're offering, you say yes or no.
It is really very simple.
More like not yet. Besides, Github is just one website. The files still exist on servers outside the US that Sony can't touch with the DMCA.
Again? Sony did the same thing last week and Github complied, only to see the files mirrored again within hours.
I always wait a week or so before updating. Things like this are why. There's always a chance of a bug getting through in critical updates like this.
I read that commentary and I wish I could have my 5 minutes back. What's sad is that people are going to read the headline and think that this nonsense is Microsoft's idea.
They could do all of the things in that opinion piece. But there's no indication that they will.
60+ million PSP's sold and one of the lowest software attach rates ever. EA probably wants assurances that their software isn't going to be pirated before it ever hits store shelves. That's one of the biggest problems the PSP has faced.
It's a good system, but it is cracked wide open. Publishers have fled from this platform and that's sad. It's a really great handheld.
Freedom of speech.
The hyperbole in that title was enough to make me not want to read the article. But I read it anyway.
Now that I've read it, I see how incredibly naive the author is. That explains the hyperbole. I would imagine that many of the people who signed up for the websites that are supposedly going to be receiving subpoenas from Sony didn't use their real names.
