30 more minutes? This movie is incredibly long to begin with.

I'm definitely getting the movie on Blu. I'm a fan of The Watchmen and this movie really resonated with me. It would be nice if the Blu version also came with a digital download copy.

Well, the term "hardcore" is a misnomer that people use to try to make themselves feel as though they are elite. "If you like Nintendo then you aren't hardcore." That's a bunch of BS. People like what they like and that's it.

And Nintendo isn't killing core gaming. If there wasn't a market for what Nintendo was selling then nobody would be buying it. The fact is that the definition of core gaming is changing. People want simplicity and fun more than they want ...

I had an Atari 5200. It wasn't all that bad aside from not having self-centering joysticks. I don't know what the designer was thinking. But once you got used to using them it wasn't really all that bad. But it severely lacked games, so I agree it was an enormous commercial flop.

It was freaking enormous, too. The first model was probably the same size and weight as the original Xbox, and it was completely solid-state electronics. Heh.

These kinds of articles bring out feelings of nostalgia for those of us that have been gaming since the 70's. Even though they're largely the same each time I always enjoy them.

Colecovision was great. It had the best home version of Donkey Kong at a time when it was practically impossible to bring the quality of the arcade home. My jaw dropped the first time I ever saw it on TV.

I really liked the Turbografx 16. It didn't have the appeal of the Genesis or the SNES, maybe. But it had some really great side-scrolling platformers and shooters. And that's when shooters were also side-scrolling. R-Type FTW! The author references Fighting Street, but perhaps what he fails to realize is that Fighting Street was the first attempt at bringing Street Fighter home, and The Turbo had a great home version of Street Fighter II:CE. Oh, and Y's? Was that a knock-off?

I ...

How would Linden Labs know whether people were engaged in voice conversations or just had voice enabled?

It really wasn't bad enough to necessitate deletion. There are some really sensitive people around I suppose.

I'm looking forward to this one.

Wait, so are you saying that an avatar affects your credibility? If so then that's lame.

I think that the main difference between the pictures that Aquanox linked is that the PS3 shot has a flashbulb effect and the 360 picture does not. That's about it.

Overall the games are pretty much identical from the screenshots. The clear winner is the gamer if the game plays anywhere nearly as good as it looks.

I went to Home this week for the first time in 5 months. I'll try again in 5 more.

That's not as bad as "Mine never broke, so all of you claiming that your (imaginary) system broke must be lying."

It's always funny how the people who get the secret pictures have the worst cameras. The picture with the PS3 logo, why is half the date cut off? That's such an odd crop.

Wait. What? Sony's products are in the bottom three spots. And that's great for Sony and bad for Microsoft? And you are calling someone else delusional?

Maybe I don't understand the economics of the current generation of consoles, but when Sony's previous generation machine sells more than the current generation machine that's not a good thing for Sony. If I'm missing something please explain it to me.

Exactly. What does this have to do with another Crackdown?

6245d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I'd love another Crackdown. It was awesome fun to play online with a friend!

Maybe it's more that the developer isn't capable of doing the game on another system more than the other system isn't capable of handling it. Doesn't matter to me anyway since I have PS3, 360 and Wii. I can play whatever I want.

Ouch. That's a lot of money. But Sony's not going anywhere.

A million DS's in this economy?

6246d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's interesting in the choice of wording here. It makes it sound like the 360 is a money pit that's losing millions of dollars for Namco/Bandai. But they sold 2.7 million units there. The PS3 is their second worst performing platform I guess. That sounds just as bad.
