A "hardcore" gamer would never look down on addictive and fun gameplay, and when it comes to the multiplayer aspect the game can be tons of fun. Admittedly the story is lame, but still...
I'll tell you what...I've been up late at night worrying that Boom Blox won't be on other platforms! You have no idea how this puts my mind at ease.
Wow, people sure do hate Pachter. Obviously he's the worst analyst ever, but the venom just flows at the mention of his name.
That's just silly. I enjoyed the videos.
The main storyline of GTA4 wasn't compelling enough for me to want to experience more of it in the form of episodic content. I'd prefer Rockstar just focus on the next game in the franchise. But I suppose there's still money to be milked from this one.
InFamous is a better game, IMO. And Prototype is a multiplat. What was the point of the comparison?
It wasn't a pro-Microsoft or pro-Nintendo article. I'm not sure what deflecting to the faults of the competition adds to the discussion.
It was a good opinion article. I don't really think that most of it matters any more. Personally I think that Sony has been working to make the most of a bad situation brought on by price constraints and a combination of curious technology choices.
I'll qualify my comment by saying that I agree that Blu-Ray was the right decision for the PS3. But I'm not sure that the Cell processor was the right choice. Either way, the machine is a great piece of hardware and I'm happy to own on...
I don't think that games should be used as a device to further a political platform. Let the producers tell the stories that they've created without impairing their creative freedoms by forcing them to focus specifically on a character's sexual orientation.
I don't know. It can get addicting pretty quickly. It's a good time killer.
Yeah, me too. Want to join my mafia? Heh.
I watch more movies on my PS3 than I do play games. But that's only because I'm a much bigger movie fan than I am a gamer. The PS3 is an awesome machine and is the best piece of hardware I've ever had in my entertainment center when it comes to my movie addiction.
Reads like a laundry list of previous coffin nails for the Wii and 360. I agree that for the most part they're all great games, but only a couple of them really lived up to the hype.
Yet another lame comparison article. I love how repair costs are included. I've had my 360 for 3 years and I've never paid for a single repair. I also like how optional components are considered part of the cost.
Why do people feel the need to justify their purchase? If you like the PS3, then get the PS3. If you like the 360 then get the 360. Same with the Wii. If you like more than one, then all the better.
So now that BC may be coming back it suddenly matters again? I have a 60GB with hardware BC, so I'm not all that concerned about this. But so many have been saying that it isn't necessary and that people can just buy a PS2 I have to wonder why there's so much buzz around this.
It would be good to see the backward compatibility come back to the PS3. I hope it happens.
Activision isn't going to be able to strongarm Sony into dropping the price of the PS3. If Sony could do it they would have done it already.
Your analogy is not a good one. Unless you're driving at speeds considerably faster than the speed limit it doesn't take extra training to drive one car or another. Software development is not that simple. These machines do not have API's that make them identical to develop for.
You don't have to learn how the acceleration, steering and braking mechanisms have been engineered to drive a car. But for custom computers like the PS3 and 360 you do have to understand the hardware arc...
I bought this game without having looked at a single review. I have been craving this kind of game practically since Crackdown.
Well you get a +bubble click from me. Because what you say is so true.
