Show me on the doll where Microsoft touched you?
Lol, I remember people on here saying that this game barely looked good. That Days Gone was a better showcase of Unreal Engine
Pleased that they're prioritizing FPS, yet still creating a gorgeous looking game like that.
Conveniently ignores that Queen Myrrah is Kait's grandmother and that Gears 4 was all about Kait and her family anyways.
It seems every act is a different open world area and there are main missions and side missions to do in those areas, as well as collectibles. Since they have things like relic weapons and JACK upgrades, you get those things by doing side quests or exploring the open world.
The missions themselves are the same cinematic Gears missions, but to get to them you have to traverse the open world.
Instead of giving a production team full creative freedom in a universe as deep as the Gears universe, you want to confine them to only the games?
We could see a story about the 85 year Pendulum Wars. A COG teams perspective on Emergence Day where half of the world's population was systemically massacred. The stranded trying to survive in the ruined planet after the COG used the Hammer of Dawn against the locust.
It's the highest rated racing game this gen and it's not even close. Need for Speed series, The Crew series, and etc. are miles behind where Playground Games are.
Idk, you tell me? I didn't mind God of Wars open world and Spiderman would be half the game it was if it wasn't open world.
GameSpot: The open world is vast and beautiful, if you search around you'll find relic weapons and upgrades defended by swarm enemies. As well as side quests to go with the main quests
Gamesradar: Said the same thing
Windows Central: Said the same thing
Ars Technica: World was huge, but empty with nothing to do in between main quests. Maybe it's so they could pad the campaign run time?
Overall impressions from sites have been very good so far. Can't wait to try it for myself
Lol, I highly doubt that you're excited for the new Gears with your comment history.
We're still beating this dead horse? In what Gears game has smoking ever been a focal point in the experience? Only person to ever smoke was in Gears 3 and that was Barrick at the end. Can I still chop people in half with a chainsaw? Yes? Okay then, I'm not worried.
I'm sure you said the same thing when Uncharted 4's lead directors were forced off the project mid development. (Spoiler alert: the game was still amazing)
Inxile literally delayed the game from this year to next year because they were acquired by Microsoft and started adding a much larger amount of staff.
Yikes, does not look good at all. Don't disrespect the originals like that.
Well of course they won't. The Outer World's (for example) is one of gaming's most interesting new franchises and it has people talking. If it reviews well on all platforms, then you ignore that and make the sequel for next gen multiplatform. That would be one of the dumbest business moves in gaming history.
No, it's dead and buried in Microsoft's eye in regard to gaming. Would be a waste of money
What click bait. I think 343 and Microsoft know to take their time with this one, hence the 5 year development schedule and their access to Scarlett's hardware team.
Do the trolls on this site ever read the articles? It's stated that the overall creativity was being handled by Chris Lee.
Besides, this is the guy that brought that God awful buddy AI and revive system to the campaign. Made that terrible campaign even more of a chore.
Just give it a 10/10 already. We all know it's gonna be good
