Well not necessarily. Sony's latest article was them confirming what Xbox confirmed. Using the SSD as Virtual RAM, confirming hardware Ray tracing, and etc.
I imagine some info drop or at least a name reveal or something. They've been awfully quiet about their next gen plans compared to Sony. I figure there's a reason why.
This game is the reason why I want to see a fully unleashed Obsidian with nothing but limitless funding and their creativity.
@gamingunited
I don't understand how much this game cost to make? GTA cost more than most movies to create and more time in development. That drivel about sales doesn't refute this baseless claim that "developers will try less because their game is on Gamepass."
Case in point is Indies. PS4 was the indie king with Resogun and Warframe. Nowadays, the best Indies are on Xbox with Ori and Cuphead directly because of Gamepass. So much so, So...
What kind of logic is that? If a studio knows FOR CERTAIN that millions of people can play their game day one of release, that'll cause them to become lazy? Contrary to pushing their creative freedom to stand out in that service?
I think they need a change in their resupply. People are literally rewarded with an infinite amount of claymores from what I've seen. Since the game is campy, it helps push that style over others.
Well 4k gaming at decent settings is stupid intensive. Next gen console GPUs aren't going to leap very far above the Xbox One X, they'll just be far more efficient and the biggest gains will come CPU side.
Did you forget the akimbo Model 1887s nightmare that was early MW2? Those things were snipers pre-nerf
Idk, Insomniac wanted to work with Sony after what they did to Evolution Studios and Driveclub.
If Microsoft is really willing to bring classic platformers back I'm 100% for it! Plus it's the actual teams that worked on these classics
I can understand it being more of the same thing, but that's what Borderlands fans want. A 1/5??? You're high man
They really have been quiet. Interestingly though, they've updated Scarlett's description page and stated "games through 4 console generations play best on Xbox Scarlett." They haven't edited that description at all, even when Sony's "fastest console" job ad surfaced and was taken down.
For one, it should launch with plenty of exclusives in the first two year. Launching with Halo that has people nostalgic and excited and, by the time it's 2021, Obsidian's, Ninja Theory, and Turn 10 would have had several years to work on their respective games. Now the question is, can Microsoft sustain the exclusives and features.
I am interested in seeing what Xbox, now at the MS senior table so they have a nearly unlimited budget, with a gamer at the helm can do...
It's honestly a crime. Some of the best games I played during that time.
@Spinesaw
Forza Horizon is the highest rated racing franchise this generation and it's not even close. Don't use metacritic to push one narrative and then ignore it for others.
Finished my first playthrough and, like an idiot, I didn't unlock SAM because I didn't think to check that part of the ship. So now I'm playing it again, but this time with a more specialized build and different choices.
Can't wait for Obsidian's new RPG!
They kind of forced their hand with that ending, but the open world was the boring aspect of the game. If they stick with it they need actual life in the world. This is a planet that has freaking giant city sinking worms.
The IP is owned by Sony
No, as long as they have The Elder Scrolls, I don't think they'll be irrelevant. However, they better change some stuff around over there because they're closing out this gen among the most hated major publishers right now.
@obscure
The Outer World's was a pleasant surprise for Microsoft that they didn't expect to be so popular. The real reason they bought Obsidian was because the game their main team had been working on for years really impressed them.
