This game is more akin to Detiny or such, though it seems without the freedom to play any class combo - 4 titans is OK, but 4 Iron Man probably not... The game loop is to get better gear and do the same missions over and over, which you can do solo except for the ones made for group content (like raids or such).
It's as single player as Destiny is. You can do stuff solo or in groups of 4, though you'll need a group for the harder content. That said, Destiny would let you have 4 titans or 4 warlocks in a group and not force someone to play a class they don't like (4 iron man or 4 thor?).
Though with Destiny, you could have 4 Warlocks or 4 titans in a group. In this game, you might not get to play the one you enjoy when playing with others (can't have 4 Iron Mans / Thors / Hulks in a group).
@amazing Software can be changed/improved over time, but you can't change the hardware once released. And Sony has double the I/O throughput of MS: 5.5 GB/s vs 2.4 GB/s raw and 8-9 GB/s vs 4.8 GB/s compressed.
With a pandemic going on, it takes a bit of time to have a game go gold and then get mass produced / ship off around the country / world to be in store shelves before the game releases. It just went gold within a couple of days. The patch for minor tweaks and fixes won't make or break the game. If you buy it digitally, it'll have it installed with the patch days before it releases. If you buy it physically (like the collector's edition which is very nice looking - 2187d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment
For first party, they did release something a f3w months ago (March) talking about new games coming out:
"Sony has told developers that any new PS4 games submitted for certification after July 13 will have to be PS5-compatible.
Developer documentation released on a PlayStation internal partner website states that first-party developers submitting games past this date must ensure that the game will also run on the PS5, according Eurogamer."
@Ilikestuff Miss her as well. Sadly she hasn't released anything since her departure as the Star Wars game got canned and haven't heard much from her since.
Sony has a VR headset (and most likely a 2nd iteration for PS5 along the way). MS does not. Who is denying who what now?
And 2 different companies own the 2 IPs. From Owns Kings Field and Sony owns Demon's Souls (it's the reason the follow up was called Dark Souls, not Demon's Souls 2 - so it could be multiplat).
As long as it's two consenting adults (or similar age teens - last of us she was 14) and they're not hurting or taking advantage of anyone, then it shouldn't be anyone's problem. People complaining about who people fall in love with, tend to have other issues that could use a therapist.
That said, great revenge story so far and the attention to detail is amazing.
Same. Digital Last of Us 2, physical collector's edition of Ghost of Tsushima. Depends on the game or sales.
Difficult, but very satisfying when you beat a boss / area.
Wasn't hard to spot the multiplats during Sony's presentation by looking for the exclusive / console exclusive marks at the end of the trailers that weren't first party games.
From Outer World to Grounded... Maybe they should move on to Outer World 2 instead...
You forgot one system having double the I/O throughput of the other. Raw: 5.5 GB/s vs 2.4 GB/s. Compressed: 8-9 GB/s vs 4.8 GB/s, and 1 article mentioning up to 20 GB/s with deeply compressed assets. If Ratchet and Clank is a display of the SSD and I/O of the system to start the gen, they're gonna do amazing things with no real load times loading worlds in almost instantly while pumping out beautiful graphics.

Hopefully he forgot the /s. Because one presentation showed actual gameplay and the other was basically cutscenes/cgi and "gameplay" from Valhalla... Also going by the fact that XsX won't have first party next gen only exclusives for 2 years, they're hamstringing themselves on winning next gen by having their new system be held back by 7+ year old tech for the first two years of it's cycle... And xbone has been out 7 years as of this November, so a 1/4+ of it's po...
"Luckily it won't last that long"
2 years. That's more than a quarter of the time PS4/xbone has been out (ps4/xbone launched Nov 2013). Only three quarters of the rest of the life cycle to take advantage of the SSD and I/O for first party games. Why not take advantage of it for the whole life cycle, and not be held back by 7 year+ tech?
Haven't seen the Ratchet and Clank trailer have you? Beautiful graphics and whole worlds loading a couple of seconds, as they bounce from world to world. Watch that in 4k and look at the detail on the characters and environments. That game will easily show off the SSD and I/O (that is more than double xsx) of the PS5.
Every company can make a turd when they get offered enough money to pump it out quickly...
