The single player part of the game / campaign was fun. Just after that, everything is rushed...
Well, they did learn from Anthem for this game. With Anthem, people complained about the cost of cosmetics, which you could also purchase from currency earned in game with 0 limits to the amount earned, it just would take a while. The armor pieces were dyable and you could change the material of certain pieces, as well as be able to mix and match sets. Avengers, they increased the price and had 0 customization to those cosmetics (not even remove helmet for Cap or put on glasses for Black W...
They do load fast. Hell, they showed it off like 3 weeks ago when they showed off the PS5 UI.

Good sign or bad sign? It was supposed to be out next month, and got pushed back last minute because people did not like what they saw (looking worse than some current gen games) for a game that's been in development for over 5 years. It's not being pushed back a month or two for polishing, they are going to be fixing a lot to make it look like a next gen game.
p.s. Anthem also had team members and leaders leave while still staying in the company...
Avengers was a $60 game that released with overpriced microtransactions and was buggy as hell, let alone a bare bones end game... Also, the first new character has been delayed over a month now into December...
This game is free and has very few bugs. It's just a 'gacha' game that you can get new characters and gear or level up faster if you feel like spending the money. But you dont have to s poo end a dime if you take your time. Big difference.
"40% growth year-on-year in hardware revenue. This will help driving growth in overall gaming revenue between 26% and 29%."
Remember when they gave actual sales figures? Seemed to stop beginning of this gen...
The story was fun, the base gameplay is fun, and hopefully they keep the store sale prices as the regular ones are overpriced. The endgame is meh, loot meh, and now a ton of delays. This game is taking many notes from Anthem. Sadly, all the wrong ones...
It's not a grind at all. You complete a mission or survival with bonus objectives, you get a bunch of loot. You can then upgrade the loot you like as you get a higher gear score as your gear score rises, as well as reroll stats or perks on the loot to better fit your style. I got a class specific charm at 86, and then upgraded it to 105 to still be able to use it.
They released a critically acclaimed single payer game that had a ton of content and a huge world to explore. Then they listened to fans and added a New Game+ mode, and added new stuff to that. Then they released a free multiplayer co-op mode with 0 micro-transactions, a bunch of content, random modifiers to keep things changing, and a ton of free cosmetics to earn. They're working on a 2nd game most likely according to job listings. Also, it's not really gear grinding as you can ...
While Infinite got delayed because people complained that a next gen game that has been n development for 5+ years ended up looking like crap compared to some current gen games...
@Coolbeans
So Halo Infinite looks so great as a next gen game compared to say TLOU 2 or GoT, that they had to delay it from being a launch title to coming out next year? The game has been in development for over 5 years and isn't a new IP (like GoT which took about 5 years from conception of a new IP to going gold), and that looked horrible for a next gen title compared to some current gen games. In engine trailers are nice, but show the game play. Anthem looked nice...
1 has exclusives starting day 1. The other has multi gen content for the first 2 years, with it's first big name (multi gen) game coming out next year since it looked worse than current gen games...
"UPDATE - Note that the blog post noting the behaviour from Square Enix has since been deleted. We have included a screen shot of the original post below, and a link to the google cache. Reader discretion is advised."
A post to generate hits, got the wrong kind of attention and got someone in trouble so they had to delete it?
If you look at the cosmetic menu of all the things listed that aren't store bought, there's a ton of things to get either from doing the dailies/weeklies over time, bought with ingame credits, or from the fabricator. I think over 20 or so, not including the preorder or deluxe skins. Hell, hitting level 50 nets you a nice legendary skin, as well as skins for doing certain missions or such. Plus if you do the passes for the first 6, you get about 7800 (1300 per character, 6 character...
Waiting for all characters to release will be well over a year later. 16 were leaked and it'll be about a month or so in between each character (Kate late October and Hawkeye in Nov).
Yes, nominate the system without any first party next gen exclusives for the next 2 years... And the big system seller that is cross-gen, Halo, got delayed till next year...
And the other system showing off gameplay and having next gen exclusives at the start is not even nominated? Yah...
And the "one side that doesn't", is driving vehicles into people, macing and paintballing them from their vehicles and police let them go (while stopping the vehicles of volunteers with food and supplies like a church vehicle a few days ago - https://wkow.com/2020/08/28... )... Hell, 2 people get shot to death and a 3rd is sent to the hospital, and the cops ju...
"The footage shown was representative of Xbox Series X gameplay, with the developers mentioning that the game will run at 30fps on Xbox One and PS4, with full 1080p graphical resolution. For Xbox Series X and PS5, it’ll be 60fps and they’re shooting for 4K, so it sounds like it’ll just be 1080p even for Xbox One X and PS4 Pro."
Next gen versions should be nice, though just say "shown on PC" instead of saying "representative"...
More locations, heroes to play, villains to fight, and at least 6k (they said you make your money back and each premium is 1k) credits after completing challenges that can be spent on premium pass for future heroes or outfits and such, in return for people being able to directly buy cosmetics off the bat? Fine with that, seeing as the premium passes and story missions (as well as in game currency) give a decent amount of cosmetics and they don't affect gameplay.
And CyberPunk comes out next week as well which people have been waiting a while for - a new IP from CD Project Red. New IPs can be good, but sometimes devs go and look at what's the flavor of the month/year and try to make something similar (all the battle royal crap knock offs for example). Like Immortals looking like Ubi played Breath of the Wild while working on the mythology parts of Odyssey. Could be good on it's own, but it's releasing at a time with a bunch of other big...
