Yah, Anthem basically had no end game content at launch and cosmetics were locked to the store which was crap designed (among the numerous bugs like server issues). This has 14 new dungeons once you beat the story and side quests are repeatable (hell, you can change the story progression to go back and play old story missions - people complaining about not being able to replay story missions in Avengers), along with drop in - drop out co-op. Also, cosmetics (truck cosmetics, banner, emotes)...
Judging by what the demo has shown so far, it should be a fun game off the bat without waiting for piecemail content over months. 4 classes with 8 skills (3 usable at a time) that you can mix and match and change while in combat (and change around / buff with gear), and 3 skill trees that you can reset whenever you want. 14 new endgame dungeons after you finish the story. Side quests are replayable as many times as you want. 15 levels of world tiers that you can switch between as you unlo...
Meanwhile you have MMOs that are half the size...
Yep. They delayed it at first. But higher ups wanted to push it out rather than delay it again.
That said, glad they're taking their time to polish it. In the mean time, we get a demo that lets people play the opening of the game and get to level 7 in all 4 classes and try out half the skills. And the the progress transfers over to the retail game (including some of the mats you get). No "weekend only beta" or for a week only. There is no end date for th...
A replacement or you know, a 2nd controller for what you want to play couch co-op with a friend or significant other?
Multiplayer in the first game was actually fun. Grab a car with friends, run around causing chaos as police chase after you and you fire off your grenade launcher and cause cop cars to crash into rising pillars or such. Not on the same scope as GTO, but was still fun to play for a bit with friends. Though in this case, it is releasing too late to really do much at all. They should have worked on popping out the single player DLC quicker instead.
"Games were you can have lots of players in a single environment interacting in new ways."
So like, all the MMOs available that are being running on servers? WoW used to have a ton of city raids back in the day or open world pvp. Also the opening for Ahn'Qiraj that had hundreds gathered around for the opening event of the raid or Alterac Valley with 40 on 40 (all this being possible over 14 years ago).
Or with FFXIV, you have the huge op...
They're free to make and release it if they want to. Games like Custer's Revenge, RapeLay, and Hatred were released after all.
Took how long for winter to finally come...
Saddam was a brutal dictator and he deserved to be brought to justice. But the whole war was started over lies about WMDs and in place of Saddam, we got an unstable country that has led to the rise of ISIS taking over parts of Western and Northern Iraq (and into Syria), and massacring thousands Yazidi men, women and children in Sinjar, as well as many global attacks...
Came for the (fake) WMDs, left with a ton of civilian casualties...
"Oh no, sounds like a move towards live service, weekly challenges and battle passes,"
AC Vahalla has weekly and daily challenges, free seasonal events/dlc over time, and a season pass. Same goes for Watch Dogs Legion and The Division 2. Ubi has been doing that for a while now, though you'll probably get more expansions / season passes like Division 2 did with the Warlords expansion and now the season passes (which is on like it's 4th season already).
"The core idea is the same, coming from Marine Sergeant Eddie Garcia who was wounded during the Second Battle for Fallujah in 2004 and originally pitched the idea for a game in 2005. You will lead a fireteam through thoroughly recreated encounters from the real battle, trying to navigate the dangers of urban warfare."
"Six Days was met with criticism from war veterans and activist groups like the Stop the War Coalition, who pointed to the many civilian casual...
Yah, they're going from a great series (Asylum and city were great, Knight was OK) that was focused on combos, gadgets, stealth, and story, to what (from the CGI trailer they showed) will a 4 player arcade shooter / beat em up game. Hopefully it goes well.
Most likely if they drop support for PS4 in the future like they did with PS3 , and then they'll get the graphics boost. With PS3 removed, they were able to pop out a bunch of quality of life improvements and such. With how more powerful the PS5 is compared to PS4, they'll be able to do even more.

If Ubi patented the AC style of gameplay, Mordor would never have been made. The patent system at times is idiotic as hell with trolls and such. Probably due to people in charge there that have no clue at all as to what the patent actually is for, let alone ever played a game.
The story is unique, though the powers/gameplay when I first saw them reminded me of PSi-Ops - https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...
Read the patent and look at the pictures... The patent has two analog sticks and 1 track pad on the left side. Vavle's controller has 2 track pads and an analog stick. The pictures on the patent look like that were made by a 10 year old trying to draw a controller. The track pad and analog sticks as like the same size in the troll's patent and look exactly the same...

"the lack of any story mode or engaging single-player content really leaves a wide hole in the experience"
An honest review about a vehicular combat type game with 16 player matches where they complain about lack of story mode? When some yearly shooters do barebones single player and go all out on multi player, they get rave reviews. It's a multiplayer game that will be getting free mode and map updates over time.
With DLC, they're working on the game so it has a great launch. They said if people like it, they'll create more as they listen to the fans. These days, people usually cry about devs working on DLC before a game even ships. They're waiting till after it ships to think about future plans, then plan on reacting to what fans want.
"Right now, it's up to the players." Creative Director Bartek Kmita told CBR when asked about potential DLC for the gam...
