This is what I do too but I actually wait even longer. Since I have a huge backlog of games to get through, it’s not uncommon for me to play games a year past their release. I just platinumed GoW Ragnarok after just buying it in November. I’m playing through the Valhalla DLC now.
I’m sure I’ll get around to Indy in 2026 since it’s releasing on PS5 next year.
That means the other half is quality then so that’s not bad at all.
Definitely a must-have for me. The Trails series is top notch.

You obviously missed it when I said “when they first release”. That means when they first come out. I buy games after they have been out for a while and after they have been patched thoroughly. By the time that I buy them, I’m playing much improved versions of the game than when it came out. And since they’ve been out for a while, I’m usually buying them when they are on sale for a significant discount. My gaming experience is much improved and I’ve saved a ton of money over the years.
That’s why I don’t buy ‘early access’ titles when they first release. They always get vast improvements down the line, with all DLC eventually included in a complete edition, which will eventually be on sale for at least 30% off.
This is just market forces adjusting for GameStop’s long-time practices of nickel and diming the consumer. I feel bad for the workers though. It’s not good that they have to lose their jobs over this.
The only ones who can really complain about it are the ones who didn’t vote for the incoming administration. Everyone else who voted for them (or didn’t vote at all) obviously have no problem with the direction we’re heading.
It's all basically up to your personal gaming preference. If PC gaming is your preference, then you're typically more willing to spend more for a quality rig. I wouldn't think it had anything to do with the high price for a PS5 Pro console. I would think it would have more to do with the vast number of PC titles available and higher fps/graphics.

IMO, Arise has the best combat system (visually and mechanically) out of the handful of Tales games that I have played. I can’t wait to see what Odyssia brings to the series.
I actually don't think GTA6 will launch in 2025. Time will tell but that's just what I believe.
Back on topic, I think it's silly to hold off on all of Fall 2025 just because they think GTA6 is releasing within the same window. Of course you wouldn't want to release within maybe two weeks of GTA6 release but it's not like every gamer is only going to be buying and playing GTA6 when it releases.
It’s on my wishlist but it will be a long time before I pick it up. Still playing through a pile of backlog.
Bethesda only publishing it though. MachineGames gets all the dev credit.
