I believe anast was saying that it would be better if it was the public picking nominees instead of investors and board members.
I wouldn't mind if the MC was Eskel or Lambert, if they wanted it to be an actual Witcher. But Ciri's powers would more than make up for her not technically being a Witcher.

The Witcher 3 had a very good story IMO (and it seems a lot of other people agree). It's okay if you didn't like it of course, but I don't think that was a very widespread complaint about the game.
The only reason that I can think of for not having an official DLC category is maybe due to the lack of any other serious contenders within that year.
What other major game this year released substantial DLC to compete with SOTE?
That's what I initially thought until I looked it up and saw that there were quite a number of major expansions/DLC released this year.
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail
Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred

"Blood and wine was not in the goty category. The game was actually was better than other full games. But since it was dlc it was in another category, best rpg and it won."
Yeah, I believe that is what I said lol.
It'll likely take a few patch runs to completely iron out all the issues. That's the potential problem that arises when games are not developed ground up for a specific system. In fact, even when a game is developed for a specific console(s), we'll usually see at least four or five patches as they try to address all the bugs. That's why I don't buy games when they first release. I'll typically wait months unto the game is patched up and/or on sale.
I think they meant that Blood and Wine won the same category (Best RPG) that the Witcher 3 won the year before. Sure, it wasn't GOTY but it still somehow qualified as if it was a 'complete' game.
But yeah, I don't know why it's so hard to just have a separate Expansion/DLC category. Unless perhaps there isn't enough quality DLC that would qualify for a nomination within that year.
I haven’t played BMW yet but it’s on my wishlist. I’ll just keep waiting until the new content drops.
“ Previously, Daniel Camilo, Publishing and Gaming Consultant in China, had reported that the success of Black Myth: Wukong has ensured funding of several different studios and games in China, including a major PS5 exclusive.”
That’s very interesting. I wonder what type of game it’ll be.
I’m impressed with the steadily improving qualit...
I prefer 3rd-person so that I can see my character, but if you can't change Indy's outfits then I guess it's understandable since MachineGames seem to only make first-person games. But with Bethesda publishing it, it would have been nice to have options for both first and third-person perspectives.
“I really can't see who would buy the HZD remaster…”
I can definitely see first-timers buying a remaster over an original title. The first time that I ever played TLOU on PS4 was the remastered version.
I only played about an hour of Control when I added it to my library back when it was one of the PS+ ‘free’ games. I’ll start it over again after the early 2025 update is dropped. I keep hearing that it’s a good game.
I believe in DLC done right like The Witcher 3’s and Elden Ring’s offerings. Those DLCs bought new stories to experience within the game worlds and were well worth the extra price. To me, they did not feel forced or, more importantly, like parts of the main game that were purposely left out to sell later as DLC. I agree with him when he says “I want it to have a unique point of view. I don’t want it to be, like, the third level that you cut before you launched.”
@D805
Not fooling anyone with the dummy account btw LOL. We all know who this is.
But love how you cherry-pick a couple of probably the most underperforming (and actually one now nonexistent) titles, and you focus on a brand new high-end console iteration but no mention of the base PS5 sales 🤣😁
But if it was indeed a timed exclusive deal like you probably believe, why would that need to be kept quiet?
Timed exclusives are normal business practices in this industry that both Xbox and Sony have commonly used. Why would that need to be kept a secret?
Baldur's Gate 3 took 4 months to release on Xbox after the PS release, even with XB devs assistance, and it was only that fast because Xbox relaxed it's parity requirement by not insisting that the S al...
I truly believe that if Phil Spencer ever announced that every Xbox 1st party game was going to be released day one on PS and Switch, you would find a way to praise that move as the greatest and smartest thing that Xbox has ever done in the history of mankind LOL.
I have not been able to find any cheaper than 699.00 on eBay. You have a link?
@Obscure
I’m trying to figure out how you’re comparing an exclusive console game going to PC (which is way more common, especially for Xbox), to an Xbox console exclusive going to PlayStation. Shouldn’t you be comparing the same thing?
It took Sea of Thieves six years to come to PS.
With all the remakes lately, why don’t these pubs/devs remake games that we’d all enjoy? Seems like a no-brainer to me. Many gamers would love to see those older gen games come back and there’d be a new generation of gamers that would get to enjoy them as well.
Congrats Hello Games. Even though I believe they redeemed themselves years ago, I'm glad that they kept up with the constant improvements and free content updates. It shows that they value their IP and I look forward to what their new game will bring.
