this just proved to IW and Activison that while PC gamers dollars would have been appreciated, they weren't necessary for the game to be a financial success. This might only further their resolve to screw more gamers out of standard tools and resources.
I don't game on PC's but I still got love for my community as a whole.
and I loved the entire R&C series. Can't wait to get this game since everyone is hyping it up.

No one wastes time adding a PC to a console comparison because the PC is generally always better looking if you can pump enough money into it. Your statement 'save your money' and get a PC is a bit of an oxymoron. How much did your rig cost you?? I have both my 360 and PS3 for under $500.
I'll still be getting it for the 360 since that's where my original save file for Mass Effect is...
Nothing bad about it at all. I've been looking forward to this game for a while now. FFXIII is still on my radar but Resonance of Fate looks different and promising.
My hope is that the great success of these games builds up the developers/publishers coffers with enough money for them to be able to take a chance on some original (or new) IPs. I have just as much fun as the next guy with FPS's but there's only so much you can take before you start to get jaded against the genre.
Everyone is always crying about 'originality' and 'innovation' but there's no incentive for devs to stray far from the same formula when people keep snatching up these types of games. It's also why PC'ers got the shaft on the dedicated servers because IW and Activision knew that the consoles would more than make up for any PC boycott.
Don't get me wrong. I love COD4 (PS3) and I'm planning on getting this game also (for Xmas) but with millions of people voting with their dollar...

People like pretty things but would you really not buy it because of the box art? I know it's all part of marketing to the consumer but they could put it in a brown paper bag and I'd still buy it.
My man, I think you're getting worked up over a non-issue. The point of the article/thread isn't about developers getting used to the PS3's hardware. It's about optimization of the hardware and this doesn't just apply to the PS3. ALL of the consoles, even the 360 and PC, go through the hardware optimization process.
