I can see something similar happening to Dead Space (spike in player count) since it’s part of this month’s games (on essentials at least). I’ve played the original but I’m definitely going to check out the remake.
This is why I wait for many of these types of games to get 'complete' editions released as they will contain all of the DLC and patches up to that point. Almost all of my first playthroughs are vastly improved versions of when they were first released, and that's why I believe I enjoy the games more than many of the early adopters.
Seeing is believing so I'll wait for full confirmation before getting my hopes up. So far all I've heard was that they were originally targeting 30fps on base PS5 and XSX/S, but the TGS had a demo supposedly running 60fps on PS5 but it didn't show a frame counter from what I've read.
It's a step in the right direction but that's assuming that the scalpers don't play PS. I'm sure that many of the people reselling at markup are probably people who have PS4 or PS5 already and are just looking to make a huge profit off of this action.
The best (and probably only) way to really combat this is to stop having limited editions of the item that mostly everyone was trying to get. People won't be so eager to buy and then try to resell for a h...
Makes me want to fire it up again ahead of GTA6's release, just to dip my toes back into some mindless mayhem.
I really hope that Xbox can maintain a strong presence in the console industry. Competition is definitely great for consumers and, even though I'm primarily a PS gamer, I actually do want Xbox to give me some great reasons to invest in their consoles like I did with the original Xbox and the 360. I just love playing good games, no matter the system.
That's why I would wait for a 'complete' edition of the game to be released with all of the DLC and improvements included to date, and then get it on sale. It would be more cost-effective and with less bugs.
Spin-Offs are all well and good, but just focus on Yotei for now and make it just as good (if not better) than Tsushima.
So you think the game sold poorly just because it had a female lead? That doesn't seem like a good reason since we've had plenty of successful games with female leads (Lara Croft, Bayonetta, Aloy, Seamus, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, etc.). Most gamers just want a lead character that draws you in, is interesting, and fits in that game world.
I enjoyed Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor though, and look forward to the next chapter in that series. I'll try Outlaws once the 'complete' edition releases (if they move forward with the DLC) and it's on sale .
It seems delusion also carries over to alt accounts too lol
LOL 🤣
"It does seem odd and regressive that simply placing Atsu in the leading role is seen by a few players as some sort of affront to their idea of what gaming should be."
I wonder if those same gamers would have an issue with Atsu if she was wearing skin-tight outfits showcasing some huge, bouncing boobs and nicely, shaped butt.
And some people are thinking that there will be plenty of PS5 Pros in-stock (not sold-out) when they finally release.
I was thinking the same thing. Poster must have missed out on some good titles if they don't buy series' titles that don't feature the original character(s). Off the top of my head, I'm thinking GTA, Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed, Souls games, Fallout, just to name a few.
Even if this is true, can we please first confirm whether PS5Pro will easily hit and maintain a smooth 60fps at 4K for all compatible games going forward? As far as I'm concerned, anything above and beyond that will be gravy.
For the PC users who don't agree with this action, please explain to me why it's frowned upon by PC gamers. Is it because it's just an extra step/gateway to get to the game? I'm asking just because I'm simply curious. I'm assuming that the majority of PC games ported over from consoles do not require extra login steps?
I won’t be buying either until 2026 though lol
The one problem that I have with this news is that Ubisoft was perfectly willing to release Shadows in an 'unpolished' state if Outlaws had better sales. That's sad.
Guerilla Games is already working on the next Horizon game in the series. HZD Remake is being made by another developer.
New (and previous) games will be able to play a better version of the game if they want. Same with TLOU Pt 1.
