The MAC is a product marketed on style much like the Ipod. They often sell at a higher price with reduced functionality compared to comparable hardware from other vendors. You can now run OSX on a standard self-built computer and THUS there is NEVER a reason to purchase a MAC unless you are a simpleton when it comes to computers or computer hardware. Hiring someone who knows something about computers to build a PC for you and install OSX would still cost you less than buying a MAC.

If you turn off the visual features in Vista it uses no more resources than equivalent XP.

It's not the PS3 playing the games, it's only accepting a low quality a/v feed and returning key input. All the processing is done by a PC, which means if you plan to play Crysis in this fashion you still need a good $1500+ pc. Even then, it's only in 800x600.

so we have nothing to worry about. Even if it came along, it's nothing that couldn't be done on multiple dvds, and so this generation the worst annoyance you could possibly have in that department is having to switch out discs.
I completely agree, the movie formats don't interest me one bit. I like the picture quality and sound but it's not worth the price when I could afford a handful of new games instead.
