Your very right, I know you'll get called a fanboy or whatever, but a big issue I have with PS3 exclusives is the online dies out super fast.
When your used to half a million to a million on a game at a time, it's hard to go to 1k or less.
So many people haven't even tried the Gears 2 online lately, it's completely different then what we knew when the game launched. Social play is dedicated servers and is so much fun. Gears 3 looks like it will truly be amazing, cannot wait.
Most anticipated Game of 2011 for sure. Collectors edition here I come!
Well I for one wasn't blown away by Uncharted 2's graphics, I thought Mass Effect 2 as a whole looked better.
I mean when it comes to graphics, your really just arguing opinion for the most part, because how can you prove what game has better graphics when they are completely different?
One game might offer lush floral environments and the other a space setting, hard to judge something like that.
The original reason Sony took out Backwards compatibility was because when the PS3 released, more people were buying new PS2 games then PS3 games and playing them in the PS3.
Mostly because PS3 lacked titles, this isn't really an issue now, but I doubt Sony wants to throw out their cash milking cow with all these HD Remakes, if they put BC back in, then there wouldn't be a need for remakes anymore and they'd lose more money. Luckily, I have a BC PS3, which upgrade...
Definitely looks fantastic, all this Maxed out and power talk is all BS made by the industry, when game developers take there time with games, we all get rewarded with beautifully made games like this, Rage, Crysis 2 ect...

Hasn't gotten old for me, it's an amazing new ip. Thankfully, were finally seeing some new games that are not the same old crap.
Sequels are bad for the industry, bad for gamers as well. Complacency means we get no innovation.
It's Because people like to throw out buzz words like "Maxed out" and "more powerful" when in all honesty, the PS3 isn't THAT much more powerful and it's rarely taken advantage of. When these companies take their time and do things right, meaning a 3 to 4 year cycles in games, you see how these games look fantastic, ie Rage, Crysis 2 ect....
Just because Sony announces their games super far in advance, doesn't mean all the other companies do. look at Microsoft's past and even Nintendo's. They usually announce a game a few months in advance. Microsoft said they want a Halo game out every year and this is the 10th anniversary of Halo CE.
We know we'll get Forza 4, Gears 3, Kingdoms and most likely Halo CE, it's the few extra cherries on top that make all the difference IMHO.
Well if this year we get Forza 4, Gears 3, Kingdoms, Halo CE Remake and a couple of other things, I'll be a happy fan.
As a Kinect owner I'm actually looking forward to some of these Kinect games as well.
Any year with Gears and Halo is an epic win in my book.

I like Uncharted, God OF War and kind of liked MGS4, though not as much as MGS3. I didn't like Heavy Rain, I think thats more of an acquired taste, because I actually like to play a game, not watch it go by. Never played Yakuza, seems like something more towards the East to be honest.

Just because Sony is tossing Exclusives at everyone doesn't make them all good, or even mildly interesting. Where as Gears 3 is THE MOST ANTICIPATED game of 2011.
Again, since Sony and Microsoft have seemed to switch places this year, you hear all the jilted PS3 fanboys finally say what the 360 fanboys got to say for almost 3 years. "You have no games".
The truth is, I don't know a single person that is going to run out and buy 20 exclusives...
Story is the most important aspect of a game for me, which is why I love every Bioware game, Gears, Halo ect... I need to be taken in by the things going on and I need to care about the people in the game. When the events in MW2 happen, you are thrown for a loop, same with COD4, where your character dies in a Nuclear bomb. Those elements grab you and don't let go.

I like most true Gears and Microsoft fans was thrilled when Gears 3 was delayed. So much effort is going into this game, from the characters, lusher colors and environments, 4 player online campaign, Dedicated servers, long campaign mode. Truly amazing games need around at least a 3 year cycle, all games that utilize this turn out better IMHO.
The one year and two year cycles don't change or improve enough, slight tweaks to an engine and then the companies throw some buz...
I don't know what some of the people in this thread are smoking, but as an avid Gears 2 player even to this day, this Gears 3 beta footage looks miles and miles ahead of that.
