I was at the BulletStorm Midnight release here in Florida. Around 300 people were there and 95% of them were there for BulltStorm.

My gaming clan got it's start on swbf2 on the PS2. Actually though, the Xbox version was much better, they had free DLC, all the maps from SWBF1 and new characters. However I paid $50 a month for our clan to have a paid server and our clan did quite well on it.

I own a PS3, I just don't like the Killzone series. I love how Sony fans are all up in arms because of exclusives, I like some of them, but honestly, most of their exclusives don't interest me.
BulletStorm is getting great reviews and the demo was actually fun, unlike the Killzone 3 demo.
Gears isn't generic in the least, the characters are very well developed and I enjoy their story much more then almost any other game, aside from Halo maybe.
I know it all comes down to opinion, but I simply love the Gears Single player. AMAZING! As for BulletStorm, I don't have the game till Midnight, but the demo rocked and I cant wait to play through it.

The more they bash it, the better it'll do. It's like the M17 labels, or rated R films, the worse they are for you, the more people will want to see and play and do those things.
GamesRadar is one of the more respectable sites I've seen review it. To me BulletStorm probably wont be a GOTY type of game, but it's a game you'll have a hell of a good time with, like a summer action movie, it wont win the Oscar, but you'll enjoy it much, much more then the movie that will win that Oscar.
