Those are really low numbers for a new game that is supposed to be a killer app for the PS3. In comparison, right now on COD Black Ops, there are 3.1 million online users right now.
Close to 1 million on Reach as well, guess we'll have to wait for Killzone 4 to be the COD/Halo Killer huh? Especially when it cant even take care of new ips like BulletStorm.
Show me where Killzone 3 is doing better then BulletStorm in the US?
I saw the article that said it edged it in the UK, but that also said it's well behind where Killzone 2 was. Also, where I live, plenty of KZ3, sold out of BulletStorm at Walmart and Gamestop. 300+ people at the BulletStorm midnight release as well.
Don't underestimate the Gears fans buying this game. Also, this article is saying "They expect it to sell that much" not that...
I called those numbers way back before the games release. I figured 3-4 million XBox 360 owners would buy the game, then maybe another 1 million between P.C. and PS3.
BulletStorm has a very Gears feeling to it, but it's something totally fresh and new. I love it, took me almost 11 hours to beat it the first time, now I amped up the difficulty and I'm going to beat it again.

Probably same deal as before, Microsoft get the rights, then they have to change the game around and call it Sigma and port something similar but not exactly the same game to the PS3 like a year later. After Playing NG Black and NG2 on XBox 360 and then playing Sigma, I can definitely say the XBox 360 games are a lot different and so much better.
If NG3 comes out on the 360 this year, it adds an extra game on the list for me to buy as I wasn't expecting it in the least.
Sometimes people hate on great games because they are just popular, other times because they themselves aren't good at said game.
Personally I know tons of people who hate on Halo, mostly ones who are terrible at it. Honestly Halo takes the most skill at to be good at then any other FPS, it can really take dedication and practice, unlike a COD game or something like that, which is more spray and pray type.
It will have whatever number of maps Gears 2 had, which was I believe 8 or 10, I cant remember off hand. Plenty of maps to get your feet wet in one of the top games of the year.
Epic always shows love and support for their games anyway, so we can potentially see flashback maps from Gears 1 & 2 as well. Would absolutely love to play Blood Drive or Security in Gears 3.

Well if you haven't played recently, then I'd say your missing out.
If you play the social playlist, it's dedicated servers, plus you can pick new maps to play on ect.... Still quite the thriving community on the game. So much easier to get matched up now then it was when the game released.
Your statement is exactly why it'll never come to PS3. Microsoft definitely has the money to throw at Epic to keep it on their console. It's a console seller, let's face it.
We had Halo 3 in 2007, Halo Wars in 2008, Halo ODST in 2009 and Halo Reach in 2010.
It's obvious someone is working on something Halo for this year. It's the 10th anniversary of Halo CE, so it would only make sense. Also, Microsoft has said they want a type of Halo game out each year, we've had one every year since 2007, I'm sure they just want to surprise everyone at E3.
When you think about it, Gears 3 is launching earlier then I would have thought, September means they could still fit a Halo game for Holiday release and get huge numbers. ...
I'm sure we'll get the influx of class and amazing Gears 1 and 2 maps as well. Hoping to see Blood Drive and Security on a even dedicated Server host.
Anyway, 6 maps to start isn't that bad, unlike COD games, Gears matches take around an hour, sometimes more. So it's not like you see a ton of the same map.
The maps we've seen look truly epic though. (Bart Scott Voice) CANT WAIT!
Cliffy B already said pretty much don't hold your breath as far as Gears going anywhere but Microsoft's console. I get the feeling more then anything, PS3 fanboys just want the game not to be exclusives anymore, more then they actually want to play the games.
I'm sure Microsoft has paid plenty to keep those games on the 360. Not sure if I were a PS3 gamer that I'd want 4 year old games thrown my way anyway.

I'll be getting it on the Xbox 360, it'll sell better on the 360. I own a PS3 as well, but I started playing Mass Effect in 2007 and I want to finish with my original imported character and I think a lot of people will want the same.
This actually looks very good. I love the animation work on it, kind of Platform/Shooter style. Very different from anything out on Kinect right now, I'll have to get it, it'll be a nice change of pace from Kinect Sports, Adventures, Dance Central Ect......
I know it's multiplatoform, doesn't stop people from comparing the two games that came out the same day and the fact the BulletStorm is scoring so much better. Does it now?
I have some girls in my gaming clan, it's what XBox live party chat is for. Most don't have girly sounding gamertags, so it's easy enough to avoid the rabble by staying in chat with only clan members. Personally I never harass anyone online, it's just not something I enjoy.

Just looking for some magical reason why the mighty Killzone 3 was given a lesser score.
I find it funny when PS3 fanboys search for mythical reasoning as to why there games get less then stellar scores, from conspiracy theories to theories of Microsoft paying people off, it's just insane and I've never seen anything else quite like it.
Game is fair, nothing new, nothing interesting, got scores from EVERY...
