that was really retarded of them
people like poopnscoop are one of the reasons why i'm glad i don't own a 360. He's fits my impression of 360 fanboys perfectly - kids with brain damage who only plays Halo/COD thinking that they will somehow turn them into men
the order i rank them:
1.FF8 (best theme and setting)
2.FF12 (open world concept and the best battle system)
3.FFX (best story)
4.FF9
5.FF7
6.FFX-2
the rest are forgettable
Seriously? Is Alan Wake the best you guys can come up with? Looks like we will never see a 360 exclusive that looks better than the FIRST Uncharted, Drake's Fortune.
Firstly, the lack of towns comes as a MASSIVE blow for me, wtf were they thinking? Visiting towns in FF8 was one of my favourite gaming moments and yet they felt it was redundant?
Secondly, i don't know what issues people have with FF12's open world concept but it is bloody brilliant to me and i love it. Always felt that FF12 could have been the perfect FF had the story and characters not been so terribly flawed.
As a next-gen FF game, i had high hopes for FF13 and e...
are the reasons why i prefer single player games over multiplayer-oriented ones. Though i do enjoy playing KZ2,UC2 and fifa (local MP) with friends, i tend to buy more SP games and will be adding HR,GOW3,FF13 and the Last Guardian to the list next year.
I will never disconnect my PS3 from PSN though, i will be missing out on demos, trailers, chatting with friends, game patches, firmware updates, internet browser and of course, online gaming.
my personal top 3 gaming highs, in no particular order
1) Finally figuring out how to topple the Tower Knight in Demon's Souls
2) Defeating the ManEater after countless tries (DS again)
3) The battle against the 2 Sisters in GOW2, one of the best things i've experienced in gaming
I cant believe they left out GOW and ICO/SoTC. Looking at all the action/adventure games released in the past 5 years, the influence the GOW series had on them is undeniable.
As for the lack of current gen games in that list, it's because there isn't enough time for them to truly influence the industry. I'm pretty sure games like UC2,Demon's Souls,LBP and the ever-popular COD series will be in that list 10 years down the road.
the graphics department was given the highest score...but here's the problem - I don't find the graphics all that stunning. After all that disappointing news of extreme linearity, I was kind of hoping story and gameplay will be the highlights of the game...
it's becoming increasingly clear that this isn't the next-gen FF i was looking forward to (i.e. open world navigation,100hrs gameplay,jaw-dropping graphics). Whether it is due to limitations imposed by the multiplatform decision or SE's incompetence, this is looking like GTA4 all over again...taking a big step backwards (yes i did enjoy FF12 ALOT, esp. the Mark Hunting quests even though i was bitterly disappointed with the story...it had such promise sigh~)
to the people knocking on the graphics...have you seen another JRPG that looks equally as good? Excluding FF13 of course, since that game has the benefit of a 6 years production time + an insane budget.
why there are so many who choose to buy crap games when given the choice. It's just mind-boggling.
Anyway, isn't UK suppose to be M$ territory?? I recall reading somewhere that it is the final 360 bastion in Europe.
Great to see Demon's Souls getting the attention it deserves. I voted for UC2, but i'm more than happy to see DS win, it's one of my top 3 titles for this gen and definitely one of the most interesting game i've played in years.
2 reasons why this is good news.
(1)RPG devs will start examining the gameplay mechanics in DS and hopefully some will start aping the online component.
(2)More hardcore old-school games in the future?? That can only be a good thing :)
the amount of bullsh%t GG had to endure throughout its development and especially after it's release is mindboggling.
on-topic: I really like Jack Tretton, he's always honest and professional when giving interviews, unlike those embarrassments over at the green camp.
Note how classy his response to the attacks were, he managed to promote his product, back up with solid facts , all without needlessly bashing or downplaying the competition.
that funds game development.
This is M$ we are talking about here, something tells me they will rather spend their billions on expensive lawsuits and 'greasing palms'.
uggh..that really turns me off. Looks like this is one of those game you can't judge by playing the demo alone (demo was horrendous imo).
Don't know why people(esp. those retards over at Edge) are comparing it to GOW though, they are so different and obviously appeals to different audiences. For me,GOW is the only one i need. I still can't believe i miss out on the GOW series back in the PS2 days. Currently working on my 2nd platinum(for GOW2) and loving every minute of it. Needl...
was the 1st next-gen looking game i bought :)
The gfx was unbelievable back then
PS3 gamers have high expectations when it comes to graphics, not to mention it is an exclusive after all. Do us proud Nomura
then they won't get a cent from me, as simple as that
