the Clank sections are AWESOME in this game and i really enjoyed solving the time puzzles :)
I would have given the sound a 9.9 though, i love the music (Pirate Radio lol) and the Captain Quark parts are hilarious

imo there's nothing dumber than trying to cater to everyone and end up pleasing none. All the great games(critically acclaimed ones,not talking about sales here) stick with their formula and it pays off.
i always insist on finishing my first playthrough without referring to any form of guide/faq/tips (yes even for Demon's Souls). The game will be more fun that way and i actually enjoy descovering stuff by myself.
they've already given us an excellent free map a month ago (it's my favourite map actually) and people are complaining about 'milking'. Anyway i believe the absence of Daxter and Sackboy is due to game balance issue. Since they are considerably smaller in size compared to the rest, it will pose an unfair advantage :p
i'm about to platinum it(Dark Rider has to be the most idiotic trophy ever created) in an hour time and i have to say - while it's not as epic or fun as GOW1&2, it's DEFINITELY an above-average game.
Yes the game reminds me of GOW every 5 minutes but a 6 out of 10 for lack of innovation??
That level has to be the prettiest thing i've ever seen in gaming and i'm sure it will leave a mindblowing impression to newcomers.
Prototype doesn't deserves that honor,that game has too many flaws and is hands down the worst game i've played last year. RedFaction managed to be innovative and fun at the same time and i'll be hoping that it wins the Action category.
i've no doubt UC2 will sweep up most of the awards, but it will be great to see Demon's Souls get some recognition. FromSoftware really deserves it

damn, this is honestly the first time i'm getting excited about DLCs. This is some friggin cool stuff and i'm hoping we'll see more of this kind of crossovers in future Sony titles!

I love RPGs(and still do) but it always worries me that the genre is stagnating. Demon's Souls changed that, FS showed me that there is an alternate way and that the formula can be changed. Gameplay as a story-telling medium, its truly a masterstroke and the online is probably the most creative innovation i've seen this gen. SCEJ really have some balls to fund this game and i really thank them.

while i never liked the Kotaku staff, i respect their community as they usually present deep arguments. Go check out the many comments below the article and you might understand why Demon's Souls is the game of the decade for some.

is a sword and shield combo with Demon's Souls gameplay. Arc(that's what i'll call it for now) is the only one with that potential and the stage demonstration Sony did in E3 convinced me(remember that white avatar unleashing arrows and deflecting stuff with its shield?)
considering the fact that ModNation Racers is launching in a few months time, this really doesn't matter much (just like the game itself) :/
A wrestling game getting the highest score?!?! Then again, this is a mag that gave Demon's Souls a 29/40 and Haze 38/40. I've always known that they have horrendous taste but i'm starting to suspect that there is some bribery going on over there
watching that tour of the town in the opening minutes really puts a smile on my face :) Chilling out while exploring towns happen to be what i enjoy most in rpgs and i'm looking forward to it.
While i do appreciate the efforts they put into localizing it, and (of course) the added voice chat feature, i REALLY hope they can shorten the delay for the future sequel.
i know you are trying to make it sound like the 360 have more exclusives this year...but honestly, half of the 360 games in your list are on the PC too.
on-topic: GOW3,HeavyRain,WKC,TLG and GT5 are all day one purchases, but the game i'm most excited about is ModNation Racers. Look set to be the ultimate party game and might just replace MotorstormPR or FIFA10 :)
