"I’ve been meaning to go back to play Rogue Squadron and Moss 2 but I have no desire to hook it up to the PS5 because it is such a hassle. I ordered the adapter and never used it."
You're PSVR isn't collecting dust because it wasn't supported. Your PSVR is collecting dust because you think it's too much of a hassle to plug your camera into a USB dongle that plugs into a USB port on your PS5. The only difference in setup is that the camera plugged d...
Interesting take coming from the person who said this about Bethesda 23 days ago:
"With the quality of Bethesda's past single-player games, this is one of my most expected games. Very hyped.
"The amount of hate this game gets simply because it's not on their favorite plastic box, is amazing. A lot of people will be eating crow..."
https://n...
Keep in mind PSVR does work on PS5. That gives support to the hope that PSVR2 will work on PS6. It should be able to do so without needing an adapter, unlike PSVR on PS5.
That's a whole lot of ahistorical filler sandwiched between two contradictory statements.
See how the conversation got steered away from PS5 being the bestselling console in the US in August to debating whether Sony is anti-consumer?
See how irrefutably positive news for Sony devolved into criticism of Sony that parallels Xbox's public relations attempts to frame their agenda as pro-consumer and the competition as implicitly anti-consumer?
See how the OP response to PS being the bestselling in the US for August functioned to minimize tha...
You got all that from a photo of women in the workplace and a statement that could amount to nothing more than typical corporate tokenism and lip service? A picture of women in the workplace. Have you all never worked somewhere where there are women?
Remind me again who Bonnie's boss is. I know it better serves your agenda to turn a picture of women in the workplace into evidence that the problem at 343 is diversity, but Phil was the one who thought Halo looked good alm...
Straw-man argument to continue portraying MS as an underdog after over 20 years in the home console market notwithstanding, 3-4x more PS4 sales would mean Xbox sold "less than half PS4 numbers," no?
It would be no more confusing than releasing a physical and digital console.
This isn't one of those damned if you do; damned if you don't, lose/lose scenarios. They did it to themselves in both scenarios. Include a disc and a case. Problem solved. That should be the norm. It's a physical product. Cater to the physical audience, or go the extra mile of creating separate versions.
That's the drawback to going digital. It shouldn't fall on those who paid more for a physical to then receive a lesser physical collector's edition. Digital console owners can buy a digital deluxe edition or whatever special digital edition there is. It won't come with some of the physical perks, but, again, that's the difference between going digital and going physical.
@gangsta_red
"But at the same time can't Sony just have...
"It's because they want to push people to go digital only."
I doubt it in this case. They're going to sell out of the collector's edition. There's no need to worry about resales affecting other collector's edition sales. I doubt they're worried about resells affecting regular edition sales. Who gets a collector's edition and only resells the disc?
Neonridr is probably right about them only wanting to make the one SKU...
I felt lumped in by "we live in a time." I doubt you know what a generation is. I can't say whether I'm supposed to be part of the target "generation" when your own understanding of what generation you were talking about amounts to nothing more than an excuse for you to cry and complain that other people alive at the same time as you are the complainers.
"No need to be upset over a user on this site, channel your energy towards the article or something."
Oh no! Foxtrot accused me of being upset. I guess I can't disagree with him or point out the flaws in his hypocritical argument now! You got me. The selective Vulcan act where you ignore your own well documented history of being in a perpetual state of upset to accuse me of getting upset is totally going to stop me from pointing out that it's actually your...
"Because people jump from one extreme to the other on these sort of things "
Wait. Are you trying to pretend you represent some reasonable middle ground?
"People called gamers entitled when they were going on about Cyberpunk, Battlefield 2042, Battlefront II and so on, so you start playing the entitlement card now, telling people developers don't owe you anything and it means it silences everyone from everything."
Are you kidding? Generations prior were sensitive AF. They established laws to cancel out and protect them from the things they disliked, feared, or found offensive. That still happens to an extent today, but let's just there seems to be some overlap between today's book burning crowd and the people complaining others are too sensitive.
"Sure, actual harassment and abuse are not okay, there are some legit morons out there posting heinous things."
...
How is it a "hard debate" when the article was clearly talking about responses to games that haven't released?
That's nothing more than rhetorical slight of hand from someone whose response to toxic fan behavior often equates to a statement paying lip service to saying it shouldn't happen, immediately followed by a 'but' type statement to justify or downplay the behavior.
"On one hand abuse and harassment is NEVER okay...
"I think many gamers that have less experience with VR won't necessarily understand the impact eye tracking will bring."
Agreed. Someone complained in the last PSVR article that Sony prioritized eye tracking over being wireless. I would take eye tracking and the PSVR1 wire setup over a wireless PSVR2 if forced to choose.
@Orchard
You had to shoehorn a dig at PSVR sales into a first look article. Wasn't this your position when it came to someone saying GT outsold Forza?
"I can’t play sales numbers though, can I?
"Nor does it make any difference to me since I’m not an investor in either company.
"Visuals on the other hand, I experience as a player and are core to my experience."

Maybe the fight with The End would have ranked higher if it considered the other ways to beat him.
1) He can die of old age.
2) While this action inherently avoids the battle they have ranked, you can snipe The End and kill him earlier in the game.
"WOW... you went through my comment history. THAT'S COMMITMENT!"
Better to take a few seconds to confirm the lay of the land than to waste more time assuming a good faith argument is going to come from someone who actually only wants to hate on something "simply because it's not on their favorite plastic box."
