Yup. What you and Nyxus said.
You had an exchange recently that I felt was a good example of why the disagree option needs to stay. Without getting too specific, you countered someone, who accused others of having a bad interpretation, by replying with an argument supported by direct links as evidence of what the subject had said. Did that sway the person you were replying to? No, they just doubled down on their original position. Not every argument (or commenter, honestly)...
They should. I don't see the argument against it. PSVR2 exclusives can exist without making the PSVR2 headset exclusive to console.
It's not so much that it's an unpopular opinion as it is a question of what the purpose is in sharing the opinion that this product that isn't mainstream isn't mainstream. There probably isn't much difference between your opinion and those of VR enthusiasts on the current VR market or the hurdles this particular tech has to overcome to achieve more mainstream appeal. The difference is that while those of us who enjoy VR are supporting the industry now and helping it grow i...
@After10Ben
"I just read that the original prediction of 2 million units also came from bloomberg, not from Sony, so I am guessing that my information was wrong. That's great news."
It's good that you caught that. This could just be Bloomberg engaging in shady reporting to reconcile their initial false report on the production numbers. It allows them to get out of acknowledging the initial error by pretending they were correct, but Sony ...
"When you consider the main purpose of a review is to answer the question of whether something is actually as good as it appears to be in ads and previews before you decide to spend your time and money on it, there’s no greater waste of everybody’s time and effort than telling people that something they’ve never heard of isn’t good."
Their argument is built on a false premise.
I suspect they want to avoid doing that PREMATURELY, in response to underperformance or economic conditions. Look at this price increase as an example. The same yen that buys a Japanese Xbox buys a Japanese Game Pass sub. Yet, only the console increased. Xbox bet the farm on Game Pass to the detriment of their traditional business model, but they're still in the courting phase, leveraging the idea of cheap games to attract enough subs who will stick around (or have no other practical alte...
No need for an FYI. He knew it was a false statement. You know he knew it was a false statement. We all know he knew it was a false statement. I would quote the evidence, but in some wild interpretation I would be the one in need of being moderated. Instead, I'll just say go look at his responses here in which he acknowledges knowing it wasn't true.
It's a good thing PS doesn't operate based on what you consider success.
There's a reason M3gan is considered a success at the box office and Black Adam a failure, despite Black Adam making at least 3x more.
"Look through any of the GOTY awards, or best games of 2022 articles, or metacritic - none of the best games support VR."
Astro Bot Rescue: Mission 90
Synth Riders 89
Tetris Effect 89
Beat Saber 86
Resident Evil 7 86
Moss 85
A couple of things to keep in mind:
1) Those are the PS4 scores. Those games still achieved those scores despite the limitations of the PSVR tech.

I'm not making any predictions, but if it's of comfort to you, nothing in that tweet states that 343 will continue to LEAD development for future Halo titles or develop story content for Halo Infinite.
@Outside_ofthe_Box
I wish I had more than one up vote to give.
I couldn't help but notice the comment about Sony and Jim was not only pointedly more critical but also didn't shift the focus to others who have or might do the same.
I love that game, even more than Beat Saber. That's probably not the majority opinion, but it is mine. LOL.
One other thought, because I'm not going to pretend people didn't say what they said when it's relevant to the conversation:
"Everyone could see this game (Halo) was going to be a mess, and here we are."
It strikes me as inconsistent to say that a month ago but argue against Christopher's point that Phil had an opportunity to reassign or better manage personnel.
@Christopher
Careful. Quoting someone's past words to point out the inconsistency with, and dare I say insincerity in, their current argument apparently crosses an ever shifting line. Nevertheless, I'm glad you're pointing out what many of us have and what is on display here. The game is to defend and circle back to Sony. We all see the pattern, so what happens next?
Speaking of patterns, there's a pattern among Phil Spencer defenders wher...
Free SynthRiders upgrade?? I was waiting on that news.
"Sounds like you’re reading too much into this - that or you’re obsessed with me for some bizarre reason (which seems to be the case, I guess I should be flattered)."
Ah. The classic deflection of someone who just got a lesson in how the internet works. Supposing I was obsessed with you, you still got exposed. I really don't think you want to go down the obsession route, given your activity on this site, but you probably should learn how easily receipts can be...
@Orchard
Who exactly do you believe you're fooling with this spin? Is it worth even the minimal effort you put into that response? You must be flustered, because you can't even keep the two responses you've made since I posted straight. You're (laughably) trying to maintain that it was obvious to you in your reply to me, but 2 minutes later you said to SonyStyled, "Also people are allowed to change opinion :p"
LOL. So did you kn...
What's that you say, Sully? Don't stop? It's not over yet? I need more to prove the point?

Exactly. Some of the people pushing to get rid of it want to do so because they want to be able to push bad faith narratives without losing credibility. I'm not saying that Lightning falls into that category, but I know there have been one or more who pushing to get rid of the disagrees who had the name of their account changed after earning a reputation through antagonistic behavior. At some point you deserve to live with the reputation you earned. Best believe bad faith actors are just ...
