That's not Venom ntipicking. I only clicked on the article because the way the headline is structured without attribution gave the impression that it was based on something more substantive than Satya's conveniently timed say-so. Thankfully, my ad blocker was enabled.

Yeah. You get it. It's Sony's fault because Sony engages in the same 3rd party deals MS does, which Sony should understand costs MS that much more to procure occupying last place now that MS is locked into putting exclusives on Game Pass. Sony is being unreasonable.

That's not what that means. Hines was upset at the inconsistent public stance and lack of communication. He was concerned Todd Howard was going to get blindsided with questions about why Xbox was saying at the time that Activision games would be multi platform but not Bethesda games.

That's a curious position to take after freely commenting on the subject here in the court of public opinion. You went so far as to say "bravo to the lawyers" and described what they've done as "perfection." Now, you have no opinion on your own position? It comes off like you were trying to have your cake and eat it too, doing damage control for Xbox by throwing out an implication you could walk away from if questioned on it.

I'm asking because your lead-in sentence implies they are projecting a certain appearance that may not represent the reality.

They've been saying it. They've made acknowledgements to that effect before the attempt to acquire ABK. Phil Spencer said it recently in response to the the Redfall debacle. It only seems shocking because it's like Groundhog Day dealing with their media shills and the rotating cast of characters who champion them online.
