It's a little early to be this negative about it. I'm on on the defense about it myself but it does seem interesting from the little I've seen.
It's not perfect but it's definitely an improvement over Fallout 3's stealth system.
Yeah it all comes down to personal preferences. For me it was the PS4. Tomb Raider does seem good but we're going to get that eventually.
You obviously don't know squat about game engines. There's a reason why we're seeing less engines these days. Games are getting bigger and more complex and not every one has the ressources to make, maintain and expand on their own in-house engines. UE4 receives frequent updates and is well optimized. I haven't used it well myself but it's becoming more user-friendly in order to compete with Unity in the indie department. I've seen what some indie devs are making with U...
What I saw looked like a great game. I'm not 100% on board with changing the battle system but I hope it's the only thing they change. I don't mind them adding new elements to the story but they shouldn't change it drastically or remove anything.
The game was actually very good. You should give it a try instead of crying about it. Also, it was a huge success in terms of sales so I'm not sure you understand what the word "waste" means. And finally, the only bad things in the game appear to be imposed by the publisher (in this case Konami) such as microtransactions or rushing/removing parts of the game and the story. Those are clearly not decisions a director would usually take unless of course they would be faced with bud...
Like the others said, he doesn't have a lot of lines but most of it is pretty good. His voice fits the character but there were times when I felt he was a little off.
I read that too. Some of it was even in Xenosaga to some extent. With all the info we have on Episodes 1-4 and the cult following for that game it's kind of surprising no one attempted a quality fangame yet. If my memory serves, there wasn't a lot about episode 6 in Perfect Works though.
I think the fact that it's incomplete is part of Xenogears' charm. I wish he'd finish it. I guess he could get the IP back through crowdfunding nowadays. But it probably won't happen.
What it means is it's not better nor worse than the PS3 version. Since I liked the original I guess I'll like it the same. I'm getting it now.
Wow! Thanks clickbait article!
Mark Cerny is the PS4's lead architect. I don't know what's the lie though xD
I agree with you that Cloud computing and DX12 aren't lies though. People who don't know anything about tech commenting about tech... SMH.
"You can now play the game in chronological order right from the start – a much requested feature in the PS3 version!"
That was my one and only (but heavy) gripe with the game. I'm insta-rebuying this now.
@Tech5
That's because games need to be optimized to run well on the consoles' hardware. Games run well on PC not because they're optimized but because if a game isn't optimized you can just throw better hardware at it and it'll run better. Either way and whatever you say, that's bad (horrible even) software development.
Basically, if the developer wants to release a game on consoles and it has framerate issues, it's the developers...
There's actually people who believe it looks the same? XD
Do you smell that? Yeah it's because your head is up your ass. You should probably get that checked.
1) Do you work for Konami? Do you have any numbers you can share with us?
2) Kojima was directing PW which came out in 2010. Now he was probably wrapping up development sometime in early 2010 which allowed him to start working on MGSV the same year. He had been working on FOX before that but its purpose was not solely MGSV so I don't think it counts. ...
More like fanfic than spinoffs if you ask me xD I'm not buying either if he isn't directing.
Kojima was the one who came up with the idea to make the game open world while everyone on his team was against it. So, yeah, I think he's the sole reason MGSV got here. If you don't believe me, go play any MGS he didn't make.
@TWB
Exactly what I think. I was born in the mid 80s and I hate all that DLC milking crap. I know A lot of people around my age feel the same.
@Foxtrot
That worked with the Wii but not so much with the Wii U xD they lost both the core and casuals.
Like the author mentioned, they did it with Twilight Princess on the Wii. It was originally intended to be a Gamecube title but was held off so it could be a Wii launch title. It even came out like a month after the Wii on Gamecube in NA.
What I mean is I wouldn't be too surprised they'd use the same strategy.
