http://www.gametrailers.com...
debut trailers looks.. meh
just because target is trying to get rid of a discontinued sku, doesn't mean a new ps3 sku worth $199 is coming...
but the guys who got a ps3 for $199 AUS are lucky...
who said Sony is losing money with ps3's today?
Sony started to break even in January 08. Who know how much money they make today, since they use newer 45nm chips.
i think... when sony fully implements the 45nm cell, they will make a nice profit for a while, and then announce a price drop at tgs.
i wonder how long until your cramped fingers start hurting.
add 3g support(for skype) and im sold.
a touchscreen would be nice, but not necessary.
i don't think you can make amazing first party titles like killzone or uncharted with a motion controller. Remember Sony said that the motion controller uses a good amount of the memory.
because they don't want the price of natal and the motion stick as you said to be more than the price of an arcade.
sometimes dell has 20% off on ALL consoles, so you can get a "real" 360 $240, and the 160gb ps3 for $400. Of course, you'll need to search on google for a coupon code.
only $20 price decrease and sales go up that much, for the more expensive version of the console. Imagine what a $100 decrease would do, or even a $50 decrease.
this article has nothing to do with the ps3's power. its just simply that the ps3 has a lot more complicated stuff in its development kit, so they want to learn all the shortcuts and stuff to develop for this.
think about this. Its like your whole life, you learned html. There's so many other people that know html. Suddenly, your given an assignment that involves javascript. You really hate it, because you knew html inside and out, now there's this new language that you have to l...
i doubt that valve is not developing for the ps3 because "its too complicated". Well... kind of.
they won't develop for the ps3 because they see profits in something they've already learned. Why would they spend more time and money to learn something thats relatively new, when they're making money?
"Tests carried out by Neuropsychologists reveal that the brains in left handed people make connections between their left and right hemispheres quicker."
oh no, i just found out my brain is .01 milliseconds slower than left handed people
Buy an SSD. You won't have to wait as long. I was on the border between a 320gb hard drive or 64gb ssd. I got the ssd. I don't regret it.
no, these guys are just taking a random guess. They are basing it on sony usually releasing a debug file a day before the firmware is released.
their guess is most likely untrue, usually, when sony updates firmware, a small update to increase stability is + .01, for example, going from firmware 2.52 to 2.53(made up numbers), but when sony makes a new decimal point in the tenths place, it means its a somewhat significant update. example: going from 2.45 to 2.50(made up numbers)
Pulling out from developing for the ps3 is like shooting yourself in the foot, hoping that the bullet will go through and scratch sony.
not to sound like a fanboy here, but in my opinion, netflix and bluray is better than netflix online.
The raking in money from add-ons goes like this:
1. Nintendo
2. Microsoft
3. Sony
Nintendo is a money eater. Up front, you would pay US $40 for wiimote, $20 for nunchuck, and now $20 just for a gyro meter?
Microsoft add-ons are expensive, especially the wifi addon. I can't have a 50ft cable running through my house.
Sony has most things ready right out of the box. The only thing i don't like is $55 for dualshock 3.
one things for sure. Wii sports can only be done on wii, but you never hear them bragging about it do you?
hey, god of war 2 on ps2 meant more sales, ultimately giving god of war 3 a bigger budget to make it a better game
graphics were disgusting, but the animations weren't that bad right?
