I wouldn't describe us lazy, but I would rather say that most people play video games to relax.
Slim is VERY VERY likely in my opinion. The ps3 first started with 90nm chips. The cut from 90nm to 65nm resulted in the 40gb/80gb sku, and a $100 price cut, and cheaper tech used in ps3 ultimately led to a $200 price cut in the ps3. Power consumption was reduced from 200 watts to 135 watts.
Now its time to use the newer 45nm chipset which uses less power(going from 135 watts to just 81 watts) , and its been 1.5 years since Sony last told us that manufacturing a ps3 cost $400.
Well, people are now asking for a price cut for ps3 more than ever, because its now cheaper to make a ps3 than ever. With the new 45nm cell chips, they can make a more efficient ps3 for cheaper, and a slim seems VERY likely
well, the 20gb was stripped down and it was $500 which is why it was such a big flop.
Today, Sony is in a position to have a slim down model. They have the newer 45nm chipsets in action which uses 40% less power than the 65nm chips which in turns requires less active cooling required by the console. Also the die area in the 45nm chips is 34% less than the 65nm chips which allows for a smaller, cheaper ps3.
If they brought back the 20gb "stripped down model"...

I agree... the world is not as developed as you might think. This is why ps2 is still selling well in countries where a majority doesn't have internet access. Its because its cheap and you don't miss out on much without an internet connection. Games today are less single player and more online multiplayer.
its not Sony's idea, its Best Buy's.(the tv isn't, but the console cundle might be)
Best Buy often does this kind of thing around black friday/christmas. They will bundle either a 360, or a ps3 with a tv. But this is one hell of a deal.

but you're using a browser, you are seeing all the ads that hulu has placed and they are getting paid for that, so that doesn't really makes sense.
its not bad, i like it because it's simple, but a face lift might be nice. I wish i could use ctf themes like i do on my psp.
im assuming these are only single player weapons? Some of which won't make it to multiplayer

well, it might be possible due to the newer 45nm chips, but i think a price drop is what people want, not a slim.
i still only see the iphone as a gaming on the go type of device, like on a train to work. As you said, i don't think the iphone will be able to comepete with the ds/psp because it has not enough physical buttons.

and last time i saw, in the tech demo, he reached behind his back to pull out an arrow. The connection is not broken if the camera...
whats embarrasing is when a "full" wii controller package ends up being $80.
the "zelda" tech demo had better graphics than the wii could dream of achieving, and that's the big advantage the ps motion controller has over the wii m+. It's much more powerful than the wii.
yeah sure... they are identical, except for they way they work, and the amount of power the ps3 has over the wii.
