barely beating in this week's sales, but if you look at the overall sales, the ratio of ps3's and 360's is almost 3:1, in the US, i think its 2:1 360's to ps3's.
i would agree to that, but the thing is, they would not make more money overall. It doesn't take a analyst to know Guitar Hero and mf2 are going to be hit titles on both 360, and ps3. if they don't develop the ps3 version of mf2, thats losing the possible 5 million sales that they might have. I'm pretty sure 5 million in sales is going to return a profit.
i doubt that its blu ray keeping the price of the ps3 up... blu ray has gotten so much cheaper. Now we're seeing bluray writers in desktops that cost around $600(the desktops, not the writers).
i bet that sony could cut the price of the ps3 by $50 because of how cheap bluray has gotten over the years.
it cost $400 to make a ps3 in january 2008, with the 65nm cell chips. Now in 2009, the current size in 45nm.
well... a lot of other sites have a placeholder date close to it too. Gamestop have 10/1/2009 for US.

they would want to release it, before its too late and forza gets the ground. It makes no sense to release it holiday 2010.
