agreed, some features are blown out of proportion. Take your friends and exclusives out of the equation and just look at features. Would you still pay to use live?
The features that psn is missing are just as useful as home.

well, between friends, you don't hate someone because they only have this console, cause friends don't talk trash about someone having a different console.
There's nothing wrong with 1-console owners, its the ones that talk trash about the other to make themselves feel better.

I rarely compare trophies, I compare achievements more(just because most of my friends have a 360 only), but its so annoying when I do it on the ps3. But then again, if I'm comparing trophies/achievements, then I probably have nothing better to do, so I have the time.
I have both, but really, which is the better one is dependent on one main factor - FRIENDS
I have more fun on live because I have more friends who play. Although paying for it I absolutely dislike because psn gets me through what I want to do.
if most of my friends had a ps3, then I don't know if I would pay for live.
The thing is, they released the ps2 slim when they had success with the ps2 and they could afford to make it look more stylish. There is no reason for them to release a more expensive ps3 slim, because consumers don't care about the style of the ps3, they're looking for a price drop. No one pressured Sony for a price drop with the ps2 slim.
And they could make a cheaper ps3 slim, but it won't be much slimmer. Think about it. The original 90nm cell chip used 200 watts. The newer 4...
I wish the beta lasted longer... now the long wait until October.

My personal experiences. I have atleast 20x more dvd's than bluray discs, so my info isn't accurate(i've had a handful of "bad" dvd's, and nothing yet with bluray). I'm sure as I get more bluray discs, I'll get more problems.
Blu-ray discs have a hard coating technology. This makes them sturdier than DVD's. TDK first came out with this technology, then other companies soon followed with their own.
So its not a problem with bluray discs, but just netflix, or...

price is not the only factor.
A lot of people I know bought a 360 just because of Halo. Also, some of my friends have ps3's because their neighborhood is a "ps3 neighborhood", while my friends in my neighborhood bought a 360, because our neighborhood is a "360 neighborhood".
