Nintendo's known for being kid friendly I guess. But even so, they went out of their way to get Bayonetta 2. Clearly times have changed. :P
The entire story of Other M was more degrading to Samus than this outfit.
All this marketing is giving more attention to the game which has a 2015 release date. :P
That's how it should be IMO. Games tailored to VR will be better than simple port jobs.
Sometimes all you need is a cool looking game instead of press. Star Citizen is one of the biggest games ever and it's not even out yet! Minecraft was super popular when it was still in beta.
Yeah wonderfulmonkeyman pretty much summed it up. Nintendo hasn't had good third party support for several generations. That played a part in me avoiding their consoles until now. Their first party and second party games will have to be their bread and butter this gen. They basically have to make some lemonade with the lemons they got.
Agreed. Yoshida is a smart man otherwise he would not be in his position. He knows why PS4 is doing so well, he just knows not to come off as a jerk since us gamers appreciate humility. He even compliments his competition from time to time. He's a fantastic CEO who knows how to talk to gamers.
PS4 is selling because it's a good quality system with some good exclusives, great third party and indie support and one big thing that both Microsoft and Nintendo screwed up on when they launched their systems. Great marketing! The PR surrounding PS4 has been almost completely positive. Clearly good communication with your fans and consumers goes a very long way. I think that's why it continues to sell so well.
Genie, I'm gonna miss you. :') The model looks great. It's actually rather perfect.
Actually VGChartz articles state Wii U is consistently selling in the same range as XB1. And VGChartz is known for blowing up XB1 and lowering PS4 numbers in their weekly reports. Even NPD says since Mario Kart came out wii U has been doing much better and it will only get better from here with Smash Bros and Zelda and Star Fox next year.
That would be like Sony putting Crash Warped on mobile. It would be terrible and it would take away from Sony hardware. :/
Those sales match and at times surpass Xbox. :/
@iamsuperman I think you are exactly right. I have every intention of picking up the white PS4 that comes out soon and putting it next to my Wii U. That way I have every experience Wii U won't get anyway. It is a shame that Wii U isn't doing better than Wii because IMO it is a much better system. But it is more expensive and just got its system seller game. It almost makes its first year of sales nonexistent in comparison. Wii U was trying to go into some kind of middle ground that wa...
Wii U's hardware sales pace is roughly the same as XB1. Is that success for Wii U or failure for XB1?
@LOL_WUT Sony has the edge on 3rd parties, not Microsoft. Playstation 4 has better hardware so Xbox will have to constantly deal with having lesser ports than PS4. Microsoft has the poor man's PS4 console and they need to separate themselves in ways that don't involve buying away third party multiplats and locking them away from Sony fans. Wii U at least offers a different experience from XB1.
Disappointing to say the least. I know I'll get downvotes for saying it but I never wanted this on Wii U anyway. I want it on PS4 for the obvious content perks. I'll probably just rent it either way. I only play CoD for the campaigns and almost never the multiplayer. This is a nasty blow to Wii U because CoD is one of the industry's biggest franchises but Nintendo fans who already own it probably won't mind.
When did OtakuDJK1NG ever say he or she wanted CoD? I don't think anyone here has ever boasted about third party anything being best on Wii U for quite a while.
95% is pretty harsh on Nintendo. I think there is just as much responsibility on third parties to market their games as it is Nintendo's and very few devs actually did anything to help their wii U ports after the first year.
I think it's because with third party support it's surprising when Wii U does get a port.
To be fair the Deus Ex port was priced higher on Wii U. It still had something holding it back basically. I think a lot of Wii U owners have other systems and that plays into their decisions with buying third party games. I feel like while some games were not bad there was not a lot of incentive to get them on Wii U.
