Yeah, admittedly I had "sold" and "shipped" mixed up as well. So yeah, the numbers on Xbox One are significantly lower, but unlike Wii U, they still a lot each month, and they sell a lot of software not unlike PS4.
All I would say is that while PS4 sales are indeed much higher than Xbox One, the latter is by no means slouching. They're selling decent numbers and a lot of software. So PS4 does indeed dominate, but that doesn't mean Xbox One is doing a bad job necessarily.

I get what you're saying, but aside from the specs differences the two consoles have the same architecture. If a developer can easily port a game from one system to the other and make...
No one knows yet, but most likely.
Normally the game goes gold a week or two before launch. Doesn't take that much time to slap data onto a disc, package it and ship it out.
Bayonetta 2 has had some demo showcases (which are supposedly in 1080p/60fps). I would be surprised if they don't show it again at this year's E3 in some form.
The thing is winning E3 generally mean having the most exciting show. I think the things I listed would be more than enough for Nintendo to achieve that. New IPs, old beloved franchises, it's what people have been asking for for years.
Sigh. I sure as heck hope not. :/
You're in for a real treat if you like classic games! It also pays a lot of homage to the old TV show. :)
Puzzle solving is a big part of classic RE though. As for Evil Within, as long as they can keep the gameplay fun and addicting while making the game tense and creepy, I'll be happy. RE4 is one of my favorite games, so seeing its spiritual successor makes me happy. :)
It sill very much could. This preview is a pretty premature build of the game. Let's wait and see how it develops.
Keep that faith. Mikami has a history of drastically changing things during the development cycle. I think he'll figure out a way to make it all work.
Try not to mind the negative previews. It's not like anyone actually played the game.
Halo is a pretty big franchise. That one will probably move consoles in some capacity.
well, that definitely generates appeal with fans and general gamers. But it mostly boils down to having stellar hardware for developers and fantastic public relations. That and their primary competition royally screwed up the SKU and PR.
Considering Xbox Live, that's still arguably just as if not more expensive than a PS4 with a game.
I like Nintendo's approach. They like reinterpreting beloved characters so they can try out new ideas without upsetting fans (looking at you Capcom). They could do with some new IPs, but I hope they tap into their older ones like Star Fox and F-Zero. A Metroid game that retcons Other M would be nice too.
It boils down to Nintendo's first party content. Their franchises are some of the heaviest hitters in the industry. If they can produce new and exciting iterations in their franchises, that would definitely generate excitement for the console. Wii U doesn't need to sell higher than Xbox One and PS4 to be successful, so Nintendo should focus on just increasing sales as much as they can. There is a ton of indie games, there is Bayonetta 2, Smash Bros., X, Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tense...
Pleasure to be in the presence of a fellow Rocko, Birdman, superheroes fan who also thinks Lisa is cute lol. Play any other really bad superhero games that weren't on this list?
That reminds me that I really want an HD remaster of the Aladdin video game a la Ducktales. Both the Genesis and SNES games.
Xbox One has already made its impact on the west and the Xbox brand is generally not very strong in other regions. PS4 is probably going to remain in first place for the rest of this generation. However Xbox One can still sell respectable numbers. Success for one is not failure for another.
