Makes you wonder just what these guys are seeking to accomplish with the PS4 hardware...
Wait, do you mean the game or the YouTube video?
^THANK YOU. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Finally someone who's not hung up on the stupid resolution.
The only real difference appears to be the resolution. Why are people so focused on this? It plays and looks good on BOTH platforms regardless of the resolution.
I was trying to find a difference myself, but they all looked pretty similar. It is a small game after all, so I don't see why people would even care if this particular game was 1080p. If you want to talk visuals, you should probably ask about Watch Dogs or Destiny.
People just want their instant gratification. It's A-okay that EA puts microtransactions in a game I just paid $60 for, it's okay if Konami sells a $30 dollar to me that can be beaten in a matter of minutes, it's alright if Capcom locks DLC away on the disc behind a paywall. As long as I get my awesome game, who cares?! :D
I was confused that the headline had "Why I Still Play EA" instead of "Why I Still Play EA Games." I was going to make a comment about grammar, but I think your idea is better.
But does that make it okay? Well made games they are but buying them encourages EA to keep doing these anti-consumer things to their userbase. Yes it's a good game, but will you really feel satisfied when EA constantly tries to actively and shamelessly scam you?
It's important to remember that EA is not the only company that does these scummy things, but sadly they seem to get the most success in exploiting games. It only stops when people vote with their wallets.
Call of Duty is quite a beast to take on, but I agree that Destiny looks like the bigger game and the PS4 version is the one I'm getting.
But it did influence people to get the Xbox version which is the point of Baccra17's comment. That was especially effective during generation 7 when the 360 was the console to own according to the media.
That could be what keeps them in line with Sony at the end of the day. Exclusives talk when it comes to people who are on the fence. Combine this with the supposed Kinect-less SKU people are expecting and Microsoft can see a more consistent rise in sales. It can only be good for both companies as it will cause Sony to do even more competitive things as well.
Yeah, CoD is a smoothly running franchise, but I don't think there is very much they can do to draw excitement from the online gamer scene these days.
Now that is one slick racer. I know most people don't like episode 1, but I thought the pod racing was a really cool idea. They should do a next generation pod racing game.
That's not it at all. I think while Renegade Kid is friendly with 3DS fans, their name isn't big enough to carry such a big project. Furthermore, when they unveiled the Kickstarter there was no engine footage to show, only concept art and I think that hurt the appeal of the launch. It's very sad too. I backed them hoping to see the campaign grow by $20k+ each day, but it didn't happen. :(
Yeah, but that's not the specific reason at all. Mighty No. 9 made 4 MILLION DOLLARS. This Kickstarter's goal is asking for a fraction of that.
Sadly though there are many cases where cool ideas will never come to fruition simply due to a lack of funding. That being said, I know where you're coming from. Not every Kickstarter has ended well, even after surpassing the expected goal.
I'm a Sony fan (yet to own a PS4) and I backed it too. :(
I'm doing pretty much the same thing for the same reasons lol. I want to get 3D World, Kart 8 and Tropical Freeze ASAP.
Kara was more of a tech demo, but honestly I'd love to see that become a full experience. I really want to know here that story would go.
