Can't speak for anyone since I don't yet have a Wii U. But I'm reckoning that Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros. in particular will bring people back quite often because of their online features and their heightened customization. Multiplayer games with online generally provide a lot more longevity. Virtual Console games are also a much welcome plus. I'm just disappointed that they haven't added N64 games yet.
Some websites generate revenue from people seeing/clicking on ads that sponsor them. The more people you get to your website, the more popular you become, the more ad revenue you can make. Sometimes it's just to get fifteen minutes of fame. That's really all there is to it.

No problem. :)
Oh please, don't play that card. Nintendo has taken their beatings in the media and from gamers online a plenty. Just because Nintendo is not infallible does not mean people who criticize them can't possibly be fishing for hits. Anyone who posted bogus rumors suggesting Wii U was weaker than the 360 was ABSOLUTELY fishing for hits. Period. If we're going to criticize Nintendo, we should make sure there is a good and honest reason for it. Not stupid rumors for anonymous sources whi...
Goes to show that not a lot of people wanted the console until it came bundled with Titanfall.
Seems Microsoft shipped far too many. Would have been smarter to bundle a game right out of the box with an asking price as high as $500. That said, I imagine this pack is basically being completely overshadowed by the Titanfall bundle. And obviously the PS4 in general.
It'd be pretty funny if next to the one someone scribbled "hundred fifty three" in permanent marker. :P
Makes you wonder if the Titanfall bundle has sold more than the Day One bundle...
And then you played a Burnout game. :P
Virtual pain and death is so overrated.
@MysticStrummer
Well, I'll be over in the corner puking my guts out. Thanks buddy. :D
While I think it's still in its infancy, I think game streaming should also be on that list. :D
The fact that they can make the game engine respond to changes in light is pretty amazing. I loved the bit with Miku. <3
Augmented Reality Miku. I like this a lot. :)
@aqua
Sony DID apparently wait for Microsoft to reveal and price Xbox One before they priced the PS4. Now THAT'S competition.
The poker analogy is actually quite perfect. And I agree, it is very interesting to watch the competition unfold and see technology expand.
My guess is Microsoft predicted Sony going the cheaper route in order to cut costs. Big mistake on their part if so. Sony played it very intelligently with hardware this generation.
Normally I like being optimistic about things like this, but I'm not sure about this game. If I get a chance to try it I'll try to approach it with an open mind, but it doesn't look to me like it will capture that same awesome feeling as the older games from the Raimi days. Except for Spider-man 3. That game sucked.
@levian
I really like Spider-man, Spider-man 2 and Ultimate Spider-man from the PS2 days. Those games are all pretty fun, Spider-man 2 especially. :)
It is the turning point for Spider-man. I mean how many times have we seen Batman's parents die? :P
The toss up is a lot of the third party games will not be on Wii U. But considering the number of unique games Wii U has, it might be able to survive even without heavy duty third party support. They still have indies and their first party exclusives which has been Nintendo's biggest strength even at their lowest point financially during the GCN era.
