I'd like being able to choose both but as long as the acting is decent I usually lean toward English.
Think about the kind of games being made and who is making it. With Pokemon all you really need to do is change all of the Japanese text to English and maybe change a few Pokemon noises. With Smash Bros. you need to not only do that for menus, trophies and other such things but you also need to rerecord dialogue with English actors and sometimes even change the game models. It could also be that Bandi-Namco and Sora operate differently as developers from the guys who make Pokemon.
I think the reason the PS4 is doing so well is a combination of specs and good online PR by Sony. This generation in particular is largely driven by public perception and the internet combined with social media is more prevalent than it has ever been before. Nintendo and to some extent Microsoft messed up when they focused on audiences that were not gamers and quite frankly don't care about gaming the way us guys on N4G and game sites in general do. I agree with you that doing anything ot...
Isn't that one of his Brawl taunts? :O
Localization is not as easy as shipping discs to another nation especially when the console in question is region locked.
You mean the modes and graphics are different.
Smash for Wii U and 3DS aren't necessarily the same game though. I'm really liking the 3DS version but I think it just makes me itch for the Wii U one since that version will more than likely have all the customization options I've come to expect from Smash and of course GCN controllers.
Wii U is an embarrassment now? Well give me rodeo clown shoes and call me Shirley. :p
What's this? An objective look at Nintendo's online presence that points out good and bad things? Who knew that Nintendo fans could be sensible creatures? :O lol In all seriousness I love my Wii U despite its shortcomings and it makes a great companion to my PS4. I don't care what anyone says I think this will be a great generation for everyone involved. :)
I love Apples To Apples! :p
IGN counted the alien's unpredictable nature as a negative. I thought unpredictability in a horror game was supposed to be a good thing?
30fps is not exactly a deal breaker, but why would anyone want to settle for less than 60fps? Games run much smoother at 60fps.
It's because he is like any developer who wants to do a great job no matter what. The new game losing a feature or two and Ice Climbers because of 3DS is disappointing but not something to get upset about IMO. The new Smash demo was amazing to me and much better than the previous games. In spite of the short comings I'm excited. That all said I wanted to answer the question in the headline honestly lol.
Basically this. The Nintendo games on other hardware argument is very short sighted in my opinion because quality child friendly content is not common place on those consoles and their success is even less common. Child friendly games sell well on Nintendo so their software will do best on their hardware.
If one version is prone to holding back the other then no.
It won't. Keiji Inafune is the director of the whole thing and what he says goes.
By my understanding several economic changes hit Japan pretty hard and Sony and Nintendo both reported some big losses with Sony taking the bigger loss of the two. Sony had to downsize while Nintendo has expanded since then. I think the industry is in a very experimental stage and everyone is just trying to see what works and what does not with a mass media crowd. These games don't prove Nintendo hates money. Just that those games are not as popular as Mario, Zelda and Smash. If I heard s...
"I told you so" based on Japanese sales is a moot point. The game didn't sell well on PS3/360 either and the sequel would not exist without Nintendo. It's a done deal and the fans need to move on.
I wouldn't take it personally. All fans are passionate and you could stick any fanbase into this and the meaning would be exactly the same. For a satire piece it wasn't all that funny though.
4Kids dubbed the one you're familiar with. Funimation's dub is much better. :)
