Destiny is not above criticism, but it is hard to look at it and say it should be judged the same way as most other shooters.
PS4 and PC are multiplat beasts for sure and Nintendo does not have much in terms of third party but I think the article makes a good point in saying Wii U has some of the best exclusives. Since I won both a PS4 and Wii U I'm getting the most I can out of the generation. Choosing between the two is like getting a lobster dinner and ice cream dessert. Why not have both lol?
Nintendo does not consider the two Smash games to be ports of each other and they are not. They have different modes and levels and only share the same fighter roster.
That's pretty much the gist. It's Dynasty Warriors with lots of Zelda fanservice and elements. Fans of both will love it of course. Destiny I feel has been getting a mixed reception but everyone only focuses on the negative reviews. It's very disappointing.
A perfect score any no one comments? Why is there only ever discussion on the mixed or negative reviews? Silly. :/
Bad my foot. There were lots of good games this year IMO.
PSN and XBL are not affected. This is something to do with Activision and Bungie's servers unfortunately. :(
I was in the middle of the strike mission on Venus when the servers went down... almost beat it too. :/
Sony certainly made a lot of the right moves this gen. I'm happily set with a PS4 and Wii U for now. I get my Sony exclusives and my Smash Bros. so I'm happy. :)
Depending on the context of the review a 6 can also mean just okay or adequate, such as a game with some clear flaws but will be good for fans of the series or genre.
Destiny's presence is strongest on PS4. There is also the white PS4 Destiny bundle. Got one on launch day and I'm quite happy with the system so far. :)
@superchiller Just because MSBASUTX defends Wii U a bunch doesn't mean his arguments are more or less valid. Don't use ad hominem attacks and other poor arguments just because it's Nintendo. Fact is he is right that the game mostly has 7 and 8 scores just look at Metacritic. It's just like how people are saying the critics hate Destiny when it's getting a lot of the same scores.
Even if you have to pile drive your enemy to do so!
I think it should take place in another place with new characters in roughly the same time frame as TLOU took place. Ellie and Joel had their story's beginning middle and end and I feel like it would be difficult to top that with a direct sequel. Maybe some references or cameo appearances, but Ellie and Joel should not come back as main protagonists IMO.
Hope you enjoy it! Most people don't seem to like it but it looks like an okay beat em up game. I might try it some time later but I'm prioritizing Smash. :P
Mixed to positive reviews and millions in sales is considered failure now?
Jeez monkey, why don't you tell us how you really feel huh? :P
Kind of a moot point don't you think? How would you ever statistically prove any fanbase's majority is childish? You could make a statement like this for any fanbase. :/
That's actually quite hilarious. So I could trade in my crappy copy of 50 Cent: Bulletproof for free ice cream? Awesome deal if I lived there. :p Seriously though this is a pretty lame approach to combating violent media. How about education instead of bribery?
Yeah I expected more from the story too. It was Bungie's usually cryptic method of telling a story in a game which doesn't work without a central character to keep you hooked on the mystery. The gameplay is quite good IMO but it's lacking in most of the other departments.
