I think it's that Nintendo dabbled in online with the Wii and just didn't take advantage of what they learned when they launched Wii U. Pretty much every complaint I've seen for Wii U stems from its launch and they keep improving things about it which is better than leaving it in the state it used to be in.
I wonder where exactly we draw the line as to what counts as a good or bad online infrastructure. Wii U accounts are transferable as far as I know as long as you have your NNID email and a phone to call Nintendo with. Online games work just fine. Played a lot of Mario Kart and Sonic All-Stars Racing online and there were pretty much no hiccups at all. No voice chat is pretty lame but thankfully I mostly just use Skype anyway. It's archaic compared to PSN and XBL but I don't agree that...
I'm just throwing in my two cents but long slender bodies particularly in the legs department is often considered beautiful in Japanese culture. Think back to Sailor Moon who had really long legs. It's like that with Bayonetta only on a much more mature level and Platinum is one of few Japanese developers who makes great games that don't necessarily pander to western popcorn blockbuster audience the way Capcom has with Resident Evil.
It's just one lousy review that even made the claim. Bayonetta is designed to look and behave the way she does and gamers will get the point. I've been told her personality is like that an old wave feminist because she is really strong and does not take crap from anyone. It's actually kind of funny that social justice warriors would take offense to her in any respect.
It's more publicity for Bayonetta than Nintendo's willing to give to be fair. :P
I've always been for more diversity which Bayonetta ironically gives to the industry by just being Bayonetta but docking points for something so trivial seems dumb. It's fine to have those opinions but in what way does it actually hurt the gameplay, soundtrack or story?
Nintendo released demographic data that actually makes this statement pretty inaccurate. Look at the age demographic data. http://mynintendonews.com/2...
wonderfulmonkeyman is right plus he is actually trying to convince people to buy the game. If this game doesn't sell well and you did not support it in any way then you don't have a right to complain. I would argue just buying a game and maybe a Wii U later on if you are strapped for cash. Being condescending is not a good rebuttal.
I wanted a Wii U strictly for Smash Bros. Bought mine with Mario Kart and soon Bayonetta 2 and a few downloadable games. There is plenty of incentive to own one now IMO.
@Spotie If the franchise was shelved for a while you would probably be waiting a LOT longer for Bayonetta 2 before 3 would ever be considered...
Rather than support this franchise you guys just want to ridicule people. Seems like an immature waste of time if you ask me. :/
The Nintendo GCN controller in the Smash bundle is incompatible with other games. This controller works with anything compatible with the regular gamepads.
I've known from the beginning Nintendo will be fine. It's Bayonetta's future that's always been my first concern.
That's unfortunate, but at least the game looks slick. Now that I have a PS4 I might just have to get this. Not sure if I should wait or not like you guys.
It's easy to look at a few crazies and blame the entire group. SJWs do it to us gamers all the time now. :p
They are trying to say that the average gamer who doesn't follow this kind of news on the internet is going to go out and buy it anyway simply because it gets the Assassin's Creed name out there.
Smash is getting a GCN controller bundle. Isn't that kind of like an LE?
At first I thought the author was saying Wii U only which IMO is not practical. If you want the best experience out of this generation you should have a primary system like a PS4 or PC for the AAA third party games + indies and Wii U is great for the Nintendo exclusives.
They really should have announced Virtual Console support for this thing. Making it work with only Smash is pretty silly. :/
I will laugh if your cynicism turns out to be completely false. Honest leaks happen a lot and Nintendo has said in the past they wanted to let people buy eShop games using web browsers and smart phones. It's not too far out there to say they finally got around to it lol.
