Hey man, I agree that the OP is being pretty brash in their assertion, but don't resort to name calling. It'll make you lose bubbles plus you're above that. Those of us who supported the game happily did so and if Platinum and Nintendo are happy then it doesn't matter what anyone says or thinks. Let the haters hate it's all they know. :P
Gimmick is used to describe features that seem tacked on and unneeded to the gameplay. Amiibo can be seen as a gimmick for instance but that doesn't at all mean they are bad. It's not that gimmick gets used too much, it's that context is all wrong. People use gimmick to crap on things they don't like because it became a huge buzzword last generation. I found it so annoying when people said Move was a gimmick despite the fact that it was not forced on you and it was compatible ...
I would not interpret this as Nintendo being against anything as opposed to being cautious. Smash and Mario Kart have online and the latest Zelda and Kid Icarus games have lots of story with tons of dialogue too. :U
Platinum games doesn't pool their own money into development, that's why they get publishers to fund it for them. :/
In truth all they really care about is money since that's what they need to remain as a company. You hardly see executives talking about sales numbers unless it has to do with their own product improving. I've never seen Sony so much as talk down about their competition, just express positive feelings about PS4's success. :U
Maybe because the Vita is doing well in Japan and the PS4 makes up for its low sales in the west? Talking about one system's low performance does not really change the fact that PS4 is outdoing its competition in the west. :/
I'm new to the Zelda franchise and the first one I really sat down and played was Skyward Sword. That one was really narrative heavy, even if all the story was conveyed through text. Shouldn't that count as a narrative game? It even has cutscenes.
Kid Icarus Uprising has a lot of story with tons of dialogue but very few cutscenes. :U
@Griever PSN and NN are good for different reasons. Come at me bro. xD
Here's a gold star for "Very Good Job!" xD
Well said. I don't see a problem either. I saw Troy as Booker in Bioshock, Joel in Last of Us and the ranger in Shadow of Mordor. I didn't even realize they were voiced by the same guy. He has incredible range and I'm sure he'll fit right into Uncharted.
For me 60fps should come before fidelity and resolution. Making the game feel better is a lot more important to me than having it look better.
Nintendo should have QR codes for peoples' smartphones that lead to these checklists. In fact they should do smartphone ads for them as well. I see ads for games on my phone quite a lot especially when I play what few games I have on it. :U
Mario Maker is the only Mario game coming out. Splatoon and STEAM are new IPs. :U
I love Sony and I think the Wii U is a great console. Come at me bro. >:p
I know it's not an exclusive, but have you tried Shadow of Mordor? It's a very good blend of LotR, Arkham Batman and Assassin's Creed. It's also not broken and buggy lol. I personally love it so if you have a PS4 or even an XB1 to play it on I'd definitely recommend it. :)
Why would anyone disagree with this?
Aside from Mario Maker, what Mario games are you talking about? ._.
I'm sure there is someone out there who is blaming him for this. :p
That and some grapes. Grapes go amazingly with cheese! :D
